Oh my goodness, I just remember that 7 years ago, I had recieved a $10,000 settlement check . I was also addicted to watching Eleanor make quilts. I made so many quilt blocks in the first 3 years while learning to quilt. Then, I lost my 29 year old son. I couldn't even think of creating something. My brain had shut down when it came to creativity of any kind. Here it has been 4 years now, and I finally pulled out my quilting supplies. I could not believe I had purchased all of the same supplies like rulers , templates, scissors, and all the same cutting supplies as she has. I forgot I had created a cutting room reflecting hers . What a huge influence she was in my early quilting days.

You have such a wonderful attitude and are so nice to all those around you. Of course you are a master at sewing and quilting. I’m amazed how you can talk and sew at the same time. Would love to be one of those sitting in your studio while you film.

Here I am almost 5 years after this was made and hoping for a miracle: that the Ellie Ann (sp?) fabric is still available to purchase?😊. Oh yes, I loved going back to precious memories and "Honey, Honey". I'm very blessed to still be enjoying my high school "honey" of those golden memories 51 years ago. 🤗💕 Loved Elinor's cute dance👏.

Hope we are allowed two questions/comments. I know it's years later but are there any more programs where your sister Patty gives more instruction regarding the use of color?

She is cute and funny, I like her, but I'm too new to quilting to be able to follow her right now. Once I've a few quilts under my belt I'll come back to learn what I can from her...but right now there's too much confusion and distraction for a newbie like me, just too hard for me to learn until I know more.

Cynthia Esquibel Start by watching her older videos. She is not as energetic but still enthusiastic. Easier to follow. It’s just Eleanor with no audience. Great techniques and patterns.

It's been a while since I've written this comment. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, It doesn't mean she is not good. With some people, It clics, with other It doesn't, that's all.

She getting on my nerves. She is so excited and I would'nt like to have her as a quilt teacher.

thing is its her show! and she has an audience, its all part of the type of Marketing she is suited to do! some people like straight talk which is what I assume you like, me to, but we have a choice we don't have to watch her, the good thing about you tube is we can search around and find another tutorial which is more straight and to the point. I watched her show and it seemed to be live and un-edited which is refreshing since these days everything is lip-synched, edited and autotuned. you have to like for that at least.

I'd rather be taught by someone enthusiastic and happy like Eleanor than the hateful heifer who taught my 7th grade Home Ec class.

melanie mcginn - Said perfectly, Melanie. I’ve watched her for years. She is very enthusiastic about her craft and it is contagious.
