@@OutdoorAdventureswithShawn I'm just now geting started on it I live in Mississippi but have a work a lot in south Florida I have the rivers here to ride it will be ok but not like South Florida but I plan on come down as much as I can and ride with yall

@@OutdoorAdventureswithShawn I'm just now get to the stages of geting it built been run in to some bumps in the road lolol I'm get built a 16x8 DB Sim-I deck over with 8 inch of walk around on the sides I live in Pascagoula ms where we have all the river to ride here there are a few airboats here but not like South Florida or South Is Louisiana I know I'm hoping to make the K.R.V.S.A next year is my pland I know I be there this year at the end of summer slide this year.!!!

Why didn`t Y`all run Dead River. I been through the Hole in the Wall a few times. Garden Marsh Area. Yeah I remember the Dock. Enjoyed it Brought back my Airboating Days

how much hp do you need to make that trip? thinking using a 40 hp motor.

i don't think you will get far with 40 hp. We are running a 180hp lycoming aircraft it is a lil hopped up so it is really a 200. We are pushing about 2300 to 2500 rpms when we are running ground, and 1500 to 1800 rpms in the skinny water. let me know how your build goes ! Thanks for your interest in the channel :)

The fastest airboat that I have seen was that one of the drag races and he hit 120 mph and then the boat flipped cuz it caught the air anything over 60 MPH you're risking the boat flipping and over end and that would really suck if you went through the blades but I have seen my share of boats completely this lift right up and flip right over cuz they're just they don't got enough weight in the front but they are capable of doing over a hundred miles an hour as long as you got some wet the right weight transfer

We see airboaters unofficially race - there are some fast ones out there for sure ! You just gotta be careful for sure
