Holga Lens for your DSLR or mirrorless camera? Lomography for cheap?!?

In this video I explore using a Holga toy camera lens on a mirrorless or DSLR camera and whether its a good way to get into Lomography on the cheap. I explain it's use, compromises, and give photo examples. Will this inexpensive lens be a good addition to your camera bag?

You can also use a monopod when photographic in dim conditions.

Yes true, that's for sure!! Gotta love the tripod and the monopod, these lenses are quite dark before the mod... You reminded me that I've got to retry this lens now that I have a mirrorless camera... Thanks much!!

It's been quite a few years and I can't remember exactly what instructions I used, but it looks about like this... The tradeoff of course being shallower depth of field which can be rough with such a bad focusing mechanism... Many shots will be out of focus, but to me the tradeoff is worthwhile as the viewfinder was so dark before.. @@davimatheson I don't think it was ever sharp in the center before the mod, lol.... When i bought mine, i decided it was cheap enough to attempt the mod.. I wasn't using the lens that much without as it is really difficult to see... I do find the lens more usable with the mod, but I wouldn't say it was ever particularly sharp anyway... Not really the expectation with this thing though... For a more vintage look that is still sharp maybe a 50mm ais or something! Hope it helps!
