Thandai is a very popular drink like Holi & Maha Shivaratri. It is a traditional drink & much popular in the Northern States of India. This delicious & aromatic coolant is made with nuts, seeds, whole spices and milk. Thandai is flavorful & delicious than the one made with instant thandai masala or stotr syrup.
Thandai is also known as ‘Shardai’ during summers. The word Thandai means that, which is cooling or cools as it is derived from the word ‘thanda’ which essentially means ‘cool’ or ‘cold’ in Hindi language. Since the Thandai Recipe also is a cooling drink for the body, hence the name. This classic beverage is also referred to as ‘shardai‘ or ‘sardai.
