When my 45 year old daughter was little, making this casserole was her job for holiday dinners, she was so proud. Hers had just 4 ingredients, I believe: broccoli, melted velveeta cheese, crumbled ritz crackers and melted butter poured over all. It was delicious.

I make this almost every year, yes i put alll the creamy stuff in lol. Ive done some variations where i use swiss cheese, that turns out good too and also this is one of the few recipes that miracle whip instead of mayo is delicious. Something about the tang it adds. Love that antique silver butter dish it is SO beautiful i know i say it every time. I use 2 bags of broccoli florets, 2 cream of mushrooms soup, bell peppers and onions, velvet cheese and lots of margarine. I do use 4 jalapeños for spicy 😋 long grain rice

Greenwise organic frozen broccoli florets is delicious in my opinion. I defrost and then put in my casseroles, after I cut them a little more. They are flash-frozen and therefore retain vitamins much better than fresh ones that have been leeched of their vitamins by being under fluorescent light. And they're so tender. I also put the cheese in the casserole and a little on top for the last five minutes. And then I have found these garlic chips for the last five minutes on top adds a delicious crunch.
