Hello dear friend. I cannot believe I missed this video that you posted five days ago. I’m from Corona, Queens, New York, right down the block from the NY Worlds Fair. Then it was a lovely mostly Italian neighborhood where we knew everyone on our block and all of the moms watched out for each other’s children. I moved out in 1970 when I got married. I had a very happy childhood even though we were somewhat poor but I didn’t feel it. I’m so sad that you had to go through all that misery when you were a child. To this day when I think about the Bronx I shutter. All these years I avoided it like the plague! Thank God your life became so wonderful. It’s great when good people get what they deserve. I love to see your jewelry and your collections and enjoy the fact that what you have you are so grateful for. I’m exactly the same way. We are so much alike. You even mentioned reading Charles Dickens, Washington Irving (did you ever visit his home in Tarrytown, NY?), and an interest in Egyptology. I love all those things too. Oh, if we only lived closer! Well, I am enjoying our long distance friendship. It’s so nice to have a soul sister, even if she is on the other side of the country! Talk to you soon, hugs and smiles, Veronica 💖

Hello Lady Sylvia, it’s so nice to have you back with a video, I’ve missed you. I’m glad that you’re feeling better, I used to suffer with bronchial problems too, especially around Christmas. My Father had 11 siblings, and lost his Mother when he was 4 years old. They were very poor, growing up in Colorado. The older girls took care of the little ones after their Mother died of complications after the birth of my Dads baby sister. When my Dad was 17, his Father was killed in a logging accident the day before Christmas. So my Dad never liked Christmas. I didn’t know why until I was older. I was blessed to have my parents and a happy home. We weren’t rich but we always had what we needed. My folks were not so fortunate.

Hello Lady Sylvia🙏. I have missed you and glad you are back. I so enjoyed your Christmas story as I grew up in clear poverty. No lights, heat, running water, I guess it’s called off the grid😊 now. I could talk to you forever. My family came from Poland and lived in Brooklyn. My Bupshi had a Macaw who always spoke such lovely phrases that she hurried home from work to him. Bupshi was my grandmother who raised me as my mother had a very sad and difficult life. Anyway, I’m so sorry you have been so sick and pray you get well.🙏 so good to have you back on you tube!!! @ I never had Christmas until I was married for the first time😊🌲 Now, I have so much that I can’t believe I have been blessed by God. Life is full of happiness and sadness, I get joy giving to others now. I related to your story about school as I had long braids and the other children chased me to cut them off😪 now I have many stories to tell at age 66. Hey Sylvia! It’s so wonderful to hear from you. Your videos are always special. I feel like I’m visiting with you. I’m 62 and have lost so many family and friends. I really treasure your friendship and kindness. I felt a connection with you almost instantly just from your sharing your wonderful collections and knowledge. Your stories about your life. I can’t imagine the terror and trauma you experienced in that horrible earthquake. I’m so glad you survived. I would love to see the poster. That’s so cool. I can now brag about my friend the gorgeous blonde in movie posters! I took out my original Lady Sylvia bracelet and showed it to my 90 year old aunt and she loved it! I allowed her to try it on for 5 seconds and took it back and put it in the box. 😂I told her it was a gift from the designer herself. I never could have afforded otherwise. So I treasure it and told her that she absolutely could not borrow it. But I let her have another bracelet and she was happy. I love you so much Sylvia. You are correct that everyone does not have a Hallmark Christmas. I was blessed to have had very good Christmases growing up.
