Hi Guys! Great video and option to the Guesthouse. I stayed at the GH for my 60th bday in 2018 and was really impressed. Good value for money, even my Canadian 💵. I first visited Graceland in 1979 and we would stay at the Howard Johnsons on EP Blvd for many annual visits. Now torn down I believe. Even stayed in Elvis’ rumoured get away room in back! My guess on the seating by the elevators is if after walking from your car to the check in desk to the elevator with your luggage maybe you need to sit down and catch your breath lol. Great video

Nice. Would like to see a little brighter decor here and ther. Very cleane. Lots of charging outlets in room,great breakfast. Visited Graceland in 1996,as a treat with best friend from Cleveland TN and her hubby. Wasn't feeling well and wanted to stay as close as possible. Believe it was Days Inn,with the guitar shaped pool. We were never asdvised of pool and believe we checked in after dark. Of course we would have done the touristy things sn taken pictures .Didn't know about the pool until back home and saw a newspaper article. Sometimes,like now mess up my phone screen and lose the ability for exclamation points, etc. Takes this old chick many tries to fix Be safe, have fun.🥰

I use to travel for work & usually stayed at Holiday Inn Express if there was one available. They were always clean but sometimes noisy with kids & pets. I loved the breakfast, especially biscuits & gravy and cinnamon rolls which were usually fresh. Surprised John didn't comment on them. I'd usually grab a piece of fruit to go for an afternoon snack. If you charge your room on a IHG credit card the points never expire. It has been 8 years & we're still using points on vacations.

Thank you for this. As someone coming to Memphis from another country I decided to stay at Graceland Guesthouse as they run shuttles into Memphis and to the airport. I also wanted to go to Tupelo which I can’t really do unless I hire a car. Plus I am planning to walk up to the grave every morning.

Tupelo would be well worth renting a car to visit. It's a great town with Elvis' boyhood home and church. There's also a great downtown with the hardware store that Elvis bought his first guitar at for $7.

I always try to stay at "Holiday Inn Express" when I travel, I've never had a problem with the rooms or the service. The free breakfast was always a nice perk and when we would check in they always gave us a courtesy bag with water bottles, and usually a few treats. Thanks for taking us along and for the honest review.

Holiday Inn looked very clean & comfortable! Breakfast included, awesome Stay safe over there Would love to try that holiday inn We stayed in one 20 yrs ago when my John was changing jobs to Memphis, came down to home shop We ended up going to Marlows to eat, they picked us up in the pink Caddy 😮 We knew nothing about Memphis at the time, I was so frightened We were moving from Charlotte NC!! I really appreciate this review. I've stayed at Days Inn. It serves its purpose, but Holiday Inn looked way nicer. I liked the breakfast area and the selection. I'm really glad you took the drive from Holiday Inn to Graceland. I thought Days Inn was down the street from Holiday Inn, but it's the opposite direction. I also noticed a Memory Lane on your way to Graceland. I think that's what Days Inn was called a long time ago. Have you ever stayed at Memory Lane or done a review? I also appreciate knowing that it takes 13 minutes to walk from Holiday Inn to Graceland. I can do that pretty easily. Great review. Really appreciate it. You know...just in case I need the info for the future. 😆 ~Gloria

The hotel is in a convenient location near Graceland. But when we stayed there they're were a few vehicles vandalized in the secured parking area. We really don't want to be afraid to visit Graceland. Hope you stay was safe and enjoyable.

Nice complimentary breakfast. We preferred Hampton Inn on Fletcher Ave in Tampa during our visits. They not only served a big breakfast, Bua also a meal in the afternoon from 4 to 6. That came in handy because hubby became ill & I was able to get a meal without leaving the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this Holiday Inn several times for Elvis week, we also stayed at the Guesthouse several times for Elvis week and frankly it may not be as fancy or big as the Guesthouse.however is clear and newer than the Guesthouse ,the last time we stayed at the Guesthouse and “I mean the last time” the bathroom Handicap was Sooo disgusting and full of mold, As mater of fact I still have the photos. I complained at the front desk.however they refused to give me an other room,the reason that they gave me was they couldn’t because I booked threw a third party and it still wasn’t cheap. With that being said.the last time I would stay there. So we we continue stay at the Holiday Inn Anytime!!! Furthermore, free parking at breakfast? Can’t go wrong!! Days Inn is by far not a favorite

You are not a hotelier, but you did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night! hehe I thought all Holiday Inns were green now. I guess not all. Odd random note: I noticed a First Horizon Bank on the left when you started driving out on the road to Graceland. That used to be First Tennessee Bank. The red, white, and blue star remained, but I guess they lost Tennessee. Good decision skipping Days Inn. I am not fancy or anything, but I have had some really bad experiences at Days Inn (nasty!). I somehow expected that Graceland would be in the middle of nowhere - not so close to "town". Interesting! RIP Elvis! Miss those songs and those hips.

Anyways, I go somewhere different each summer with my boys and my parents…2019 we went to Luray Caverns in VA, 2020 we managed NYC during the pandemic, 2021 Wisconsin Dells and last summer my grandma had a heart attack so we opted to stay a little closer and did stuff in Columbus for a few days. This summer we are doing Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg so I’m going over your old videos. What is the number one restaurant you recommend?

I guess I am the oddball. When I was in NY, I used the fitness center because I am a morning person, so I got up early and went to walk the treadmill until my traveling companions woke up. You guys make the best videos, cool places, informative, and not artsy. Please tell me honestly how dangerous is Memphis and especially around Graceland and surrounding area. I've seen another well known elvis youtuber and he says don't come because it's so bad and police won't protect you.
