Holiday Jerky Dog Treat Video

Easy do it yourself dog treat video from WaggMore Pet Boutique & Bakery.
Turkey-Cranberry Jerky.
What you will need:
Dehydrator
Mixing bowl
Spoon
Gloves
Jerky Gun
1lb or 3lb Ground turkey
Can Cranberry Sauce.
-if using 1lb ground turkey, add 1/4 cup of cranberry sauce. Mix well. Fill Jerky gun and apply to dehydrator trays and repeat until ingredients are used up.
-if using 3lb ground turkey, add 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce. Mix well. Fill Jerky gun and apply to dehydrator trays and repeat until ingredients are used up.
-Set dehydrator to 165 degrees and set for 24hours. Check often. If jerky is still soft and not easy to break or snap. Bake additional 8-10 hours at 165 degrees.
Cool well and store in zip lock storage bag. Self life if dried out well is 4-6 weeks.

Thanks for sharing. I have a magic mills, but mine only goes up to 158 Fahrenheit. Is it still safe to make turkey jerky on that temperature and time ?

Great question. Your going to want to dehydrate a 6-8 hours longer at 158 vs. 165 on our machines.

How do you get the turkey off the rack without it breaking apart? Mine come out nice but like half of them are stuck to the grates and break when i try to get them off 😔

I usually pop them off from the backside of the dehydrator trays. Some batches slide right off. I promise your dogs will still love them for it!

Why ocean spray cranberry? That stuff is loaded with sugar...making it fresh isn't hard.
