The climbing poles in that first hack you played are actually an object that went unused in the original Super Mario Brothers, and was re-inserted in the hack (reinserting dummied-out graphical assets is pretty common in ROM hacks). And yes, they were programmed by the actual sound engineers at Nintendo to rapidly make the “bonk” sound when you climb them. They couldn’t have just repurposed the walking sound from Donkey Kong or something?

these were pretty fun. I played the Super Mario Bros 2 Christmas Edition on my channel as well for my Christmas Special. I think it has some great charm and added just enough change

Damn impressive skills in that Luigi hack! I remember trying that and the non-Christmas versions because I thought, "Oh, cool, it's Luigi for a change!" but it was one of THOSE hacks; they expect you to save scum your way through. I've also played the Toadette one, and I really enjoyed it; really nice tileset, and the castle had a neat weird vibe to it.

Premiere's are great. They're a happy medium between a typical upload and a stream. The chat being available can be confusing to anyone not familiar with the feature. Maybe if there was a pinned message in the premiere chat it be less confusing? I feel like Holiday hacks should be easier than a standard hack. People are trying to relax over the holidays, not heat your house with rage.

I have an idea. Certain games have a clock feature and change basic textures or models or effects based on holidays. Itd be awesome to see you find what games are affected by holidays Simpson's Road Rage allows you to play as Santa Apu for example

Battle Network was Basically mega man meets tron While Star Force was like Spider Man story with elements of Power Rangers like transformations alien creatures as enemies.
