It's utterly bewidering to me to watch this video as the town is vastly changed from when I stayed on the island for a month forty years ago. Then, it was just a small quiet fishing village with only two or three tavernas and where fishermen repaired their nets along the seafront. The beach had one small taverna and that was it, nothing else. Clearly, tourism plays a huge part in the island's economy nowadays (at least in the summer months), but, happily, Halki still looks lovely given the many changes over the years. Robert, uk.
