The whole series was a great laugh. They seemed like a comfortable family, and enjoying every minute.

He is actually Irish, so he’s using the accent that his nationality has bestowed upon him - however, when he was not playing Albert Steptoe, he spoke with a Received Pronunciation accent! I’m sure I have seen him in a film playing a Cornishman - and was even heard to speak authentic Cornish, AFAIK!

On the buses "racist" your having a laugh! Heard it all now, GOOD BRITISH COMEDY !! Best not watch love thou neighbour then , "but that's only racist one way I suppose" not light hearted banter that worked both ways!! Get a life and take the chip off your shoulder......

love thy neighbour tdudp were just misunderstood. It was that generation. and the series was meant to show the ignorance of some of the people of that generation And if you can give me a specific example of on the buses being racist i might consider your argument. If these series are not wanted these days how come they sell on DVD and video before that

On The Buses IS A GREAT COMEDY. Todays so called comedy is a load of rubbish done by people with no talent at all. The cast of On The Buses were brilliant.
