Sometimes, especially when the world looks like the light has gone out, you get moments to remind you there’s so many fires and stars burning to give light through that darkness. A horror occurred, which for too many occurs way too much in our country, but we need to remind ourselves to laugh, smile, and take joy in what was and what may be. Voices lost, never to be heard again, will echo to future generations until there’ll (hopefully) come a time when we needn’t fear more massacres in our country.

Paul was a serviceable straight man for the other Beatles and Chris Farley, and he might be the funniest member of some bands, but he's the 4th funniest Beatle. 1. John (no contest) 2. Ringo (See A Hard Day's Night to confirm 1 & 2.) 3. George. See the Beatles early press conferences, his appearance singing the Pirates Song on Eric Idle's show, the Cracker Palace video, and give George comedy points for being Monty Python's Life of Brian patron. Paul is #4. I guess when you're the most talented, hardest working, and best looking Beatle you don't really have to be the funniest. He's still my favorite artist/entertainer of the 20th century.

"No, Ringo, you can't sing." Some people have no shame. Paul co-wrote Yellow Submarine and With a Little Help from My Friends, two of Ringo's most popular songs. He was also in the process of writing Boy Your Going to Carry That Weight for Ringo, but Ringo came up with Octopuses Garden, so Paul put it on the Abbey Road medley. All three of the other Beatles did what they could to promote Ringo's singing career.

Just saw this for the very first time ever and it has already made my Christmas Eve 2023! What I so love about it is that Macca is frequently slagged for this as just another schmaltzy pop piece, but clearly it is QUALITY (!) and Paul knows it! Bringing out a real children's choir just reiniforces this fact and also that Paul is completely confident in this as a legitimate effort and part of his oeuvre. Just LOVE it! And Lorne Michaels for making it happen. SNL is truly a cultural icon- the same as Paul and the BEATLES!!! ❤❤❤
