There is something about watching pros rip smaller parks and just cruising down a normal run that I enjoy so much more than say big air and gnarly tricks. I don’t know if it’s because it’s easier to relate to or if it’s because it gets me hyped to try stuff the pros are doing on things I can actually ride/hit. Anyways, I’d love to see a follow up when your board is complete on what tweaks you made to it throughout the testing phase and how/what that did for the riding you were wanting to do. Like why you chose a particular radius, the camber profile, stiffness, etc.

Im only 37, been snowboarding for 17 years. This year is the first where I won't be snowboarding. Unfortunately i have developed some pretty agressive arthritis in my knees and ankles. Been trying to figure this thing out alongside a 2 year old and full time job. Found that diet change has helped a lot. Hopefully i can catch some end of season riding. Hopefully i can still teach my daughter one day! Always loved your videos Tor, you're a huge inspiration to a lot of people. 👍❤️

Same for us brother,I'm 49 and been doing this for about 25 yrs skateboarding and surfing,,always sore but is even worse stopping the things you live for,,sleep and rest can help,and stretching,diet is the main help,sugar red meat , alcohol, potato chips and potatoes in general tomatoes etc,find what works for you,and you can balance the pain with doing the things in life which bring you happiness ,don't give up,best wishes on your family and getting back up there,

Cortisone shots help, lots of Tumeric. I got it too hurts and inflammation is horrible.

Unfortunately, I'll be skipping this year too. Been riding as a weekender for 11 years, but I've had to skip a few seasons. I lost my job in 2021 for refusing the vax shot. Since then, I havent been able to find a job.

In addition to what everyone else is saying. Get a damp board and damp cushy bindings as well. I hear Nitro Air cushion bindings do a lot to absorb those sharp bites you get on your joints while riding. Good insoles from Shred Soles or Remind are also a must. I also find some good medical grade compression socks work to keep my ankles from swelling up like softballs. Maybe get collagen in daily as well.

Mann challenges will make you realize how much you love doing what you love doing. Without challenges you will never know how hard you want to fight for the thing(s) you love. If the things you love come easy, you won't appreciate it as much. I left my friends and family to move to a city on the other side of the country to chase what I want to do most, be able to ride every day (In a dome/fridge though but still). It was hard leaving your whole world for something you don't know and having to make new friends and connections, but I made the best friendships I could think of and found people that enjoy and appreciate this sport as much as I do. Last year I broke my collarbone in 5 pieces at the beginning of the season and needed surgery for it to get it fixed and now I'm 5 weeks deep recovering from a shoulder surgery after dislocating my shoulder 39 times in 10 years. It's hard seeing everyone ride deep pow and enjoy super nice shaped parks in the mountains but I know that I will overcome this challenge and be back before I know it and have fun riding with my homies again! Can't wait what you will create with Capita! I was already looking at a Black Snowboard Of Death for the Pow but knowing that this board will come, I'm probably gonna wait. (Also still using and enjoying the 14/15 DC Media Blitz in 150 every now and then on special occasions) Lots of Love from the Netherlands Torstein❤

Sebastian. Thanks for the message. I can relate to the calling and feeling it so strong, and second guessing yourself through the process of listening to yourself at the same time as family and friends don't understand. You have no choice in the end but to answer the call, or spend the rest of your life wondering what it would be like if you did. Snow dome or big resort it doesnt matter, Good on you brother. All injuries are lessons in the end, and just another opportunity to listen. I know its hard in the moment going through it but there's always some hidden message there that makes us stronger after recovery, not just physically. Much Love to you on your path my man.

Triaxial weave on top, likely also on bottom too. It looks like it should be stiff. something in BSOD or MegaMerc range. At the same time from the footage it looks torsionally mid flexy, very stable, chatter damping, but also have to muscle it for presses. If it has carbon its on the bottom, two strips running lengthwise, like Super DOA has. I'm wondering tho, did you test Longo's Aeronaut? Because it seems like a very similar board you are building and with capita's directional freeride range consisting of mega death, mega merc, aeronaut and this I would be very interested to see what sets this board apart from the others. Also cant wait to hear the name and see the graphics!
