2 strand twist no band at the bottom and never took them out

The twist out method sounds pretty dope and seems like it’ll end up being totally free form because seems like you’d lose your parts. I started my semi free forms with finger coils. I’m the type the moment I start my locs combs are no longer in use. I section my hair with my fingers and everything. I just don’t think combs and locks go together. It’s like a oxymoron to me.

Grab and twist method is what I did after I redid what my loctician styled with a comb.
@LakeiaCreates-2010 Жыл бұрын
@@Rsalmond83 very wise! I always wonder why do they use a comb that is clearly detangling the new growth when locs are tangled hair…? Give me all the tangles I can get lol!

I used a crochet needle because my hair kept untangling. Used a sponge to section them out the did crochet halfway to my hair. Loving the results. Now I’ll just let them grow how they want.

You will still go through all of the stages with instant locs. Started mine with interlocking and still went through all the stages of locking.

Hi. Thank you for your post. Are you semi-freeforming with Interlocks?

I started both of mine(on my third set after I cut my last set of three years) with the twist and rip method. This method is typically done with straight hair but it works with afro textured hair as well given there is at least 8 months to a year worth of hair growth. From there its the standard twisting like any other manicured set. 😊😊😊😊😊😊

Hey Your video is good. Great content! I would just suggest you to as well include at least pictures of of how a particular stage of the hair looks like - a short video somewhere on the screen could feel much better. ❤

This video was very informative. I love the two-strand twist method, but I would need someone else to start them. Whenever I two-strand twist my hair after washing, it always unravels if I don't put a rubberband because of my texture. I am intrigued by the braidout/twistout method.

If I wanted to start comb coil semi freeform, do I get comb coils and just let them do their thing with washing in between?

I’ve been wanting ask does semi free form loc mess up one’s hairline? I’ve been wanting to try growing them but don’t know if I need to do the line up in the front like what’s commonly seen with locs
@holisticflo Жыл бұрын
It often can push back the hairline, not because of the locd hair, but because of the loose natural roots that the barber may mistake as part of the hairline. Often they keep pushing it back further every time to clean it up
@isiah8804 Жыл бұрын
@@holisticflo so is it best to leave that part as natural as possible with least manipulation?

Question..I have the high top style and plan on going full head once my sides grow out a bit more. The way my started my locs was by comb coils and recently I got a retwist and the lady interlocked it so would it be wise to start semi Freeforming now before I go full head or wait until my side grows out and then do it?
@holisticflo Жыл бұрын
There would be no harm in starting now

What's the difference this my second time seen someone mention freeform locs and I have locs is it when the roots are nappy?
@Caramel999 Жыл бұрын
freeform locs is when they're freeformed, it means they were started naturally with no parts, no tools, no twisting or coiling, they just form naturally by not touching it and just letting it grow, traditional locs (which is what you have), is when they're started with two strand twists or comb coils, or braids, and u get retwists
