4. Your method matters. This is so true! Started with 2 strand twists but my top middle has a looser texture than the rest of my hair so all those 2 strand twists unravelled 😭 So I braided the roots of my top middle and twisted the ends. I'm a 1.5 yrs in and you can definitely see a difference. The braided parts are less thicker than the twisted part of my locs. I call them my honey bees 😊🐝
@holisticflo2 жыл бұрын
Oh woww I have actually never heard of anyone braiding at the root and then two-strand twisting near the bottom but it makes so much sense though! I might start recommending that for others as well

I watch a lot of your vids, I like your vibe. Sidenote: if you had 74 locs and combined two then you only lost one loc essentially leaving you with 73 not 72..Unless you combined 4 locs, as that would leave you with 72. Just an observation lol. Love x

So how do you re-twist your new growth

@damieshoot75462 жыл бұрын
So, I removed my locs because it kept breaking (and I always touch my hair, yes) due to dye I think... I'm trying to start a new loc that's thick.... Is it possible to start a loc by braiding my hair? Or do I have to roll it? And I am also trying to grow semi freeform dreads... Is braiding the hair the way to go?
@holisticflo2 жыл бұрын
Braids will most-likely make the locs appear a lot thinner than what you would want, and most people maintain them with interlocking method to maintain consistency If starting locs and you want them thick, I would recommend comb coils or two-strand twists like I started.
@damieshoot75462 жыл бұрын
@@holisticflo - Sweet! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be going for the two strand twist. Right now... My hair is taking lots of time to grow out. I might have to wait for two years before I kickstart the new locs journey. 🤪
