Absolutely an exquisite home! Those now whom care for this home, may have a large endeavor, and yet it just must be such a "gift" to have that opportunity given them?

Enjoyed the understated vocals. It showcased the material . As travel is now beyond my abilities,I truly appreciate the vicarious travel experience. It would be nice to do a series on the vast dialects in UK. Lived in Wales. Was fascinated with the various ways English was spoken and how musical Welsh was

This is lovely, it's great to stumble across Holkham on KZbin! It was my favourite place growing up in Norfolk, the nature reserve is also wonderful. The mispronunciation was jarring but I see others have already picked up on that, it didn't detract from the video though. Great work! :)

Glad the narrator finally ends up pronouncing Holkham properly. Hollcum, not Hocum.

Dear Maxitown7 - This is the Narrator. Thanks for the heads up on that. Interestingly I spent many years of my youth in Norfolk and obviously showed the finished piece to a number of folk at the Holkham estate and friends who have lived in Norfolk all their lives and you're the first person to remark about my mispronunciation. My apologies. If I ever need to redo the piece for any reason I'll take your advice on board. Thanks for watching.

Dear J E Lee, You might want to read my response to "maxitown7" three years ago. (see below). Once again my apologies...and no-one from Holkham called me out on it when I presented them with the first cut.
@jelee52405 жыл бұрын
@@nigeldick The Coke family (pronounced Cook!) are maybe too polite! I did notice as I listened all the way through you did revert to Holkham without Holk rhyming with folk. I doubt there are many 'ordinary' local people left in the Holkham area now, so no surprise that no-one 'called you out' on it. I did enjoy your narration though. Also thank you for your reply - Jane (another pedant/peasant).
