Holland America Koningsdam | Classic California Coastal Vlog Ep. 3

Welcome to Episode 3 of our Classic California Coastal Vlog series with Holland America.
Our 4-part series (+ a full ship tour walkthrough, and suite tour) was filmed over 7 nights during our cruise aboard Holland America Koningsdam, r/t San Diego, California, in November 2022.
The series documents San Diego (where we show the waterfront boarding process); Santa Catalina Island (where we tour the 1929 Catalina Casino and walk through the artistic town of Avalon); Santa Barbara (where we visit the Santa Barbara Historical Museum) & San Francisco (where, with an overnight stay, we sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, visit the Exploratorium, Vista Point (stunning GG Bridge viewpoint), and Twin Peaks (for wide-angle viewing overlooking the city).
This episode covers our touring of Santa Barbara (where we visit the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, and enjoy a half-day at sea before sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco).
Each episode in our series will premiere on Fridays- at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern.

Unfortunate you had to visit on such a rainy day, and why were no ship shore excursion personnel on shore?

They were late to the party, which, to be honest, seemed to be a bit unprofessional. Several hours later, when we returned from the trip, they were outside 🤷‍♂️

Thank you, Arthur. That sail-in was awesome. Just love getting on deck for shots like that, though I prefer our Celebrity Millennium one from Sept 2022 a bit more. The bridge... yes, been under it twice in two months, and it truly doesn't get old!

Another great presentation Bob. How strange that there was no on-shore excursion crew that day. Is the Asian restaurant an additional charge? The food looked fantastic. I’ve only been to SF a couple of time but agree with you, it’s a great city. Look forward to seeing the next instalment.

We have a Jan 31 sailing on the Koningsdam, out of San Diego enroute to Hawaii. Thanks for some views of the ship. We were on her Jan of 2019. - I am shocked that no one was on the pier as everyone got off for their shore excursions. That is very much NOT like Holland America to drop that ball.
