I know Yukon is one of the principle sponsors but what good is it if the whole squad is gonna bust u-joints every time out? Time to reassess, cut your losses and run some CV shafts!
@KhaoticKreations-K23 жыл бұрын
They have pros and cons. You gotta realize we push these rigs really hard. The u joints are the “fuseable link” in most setup because it’s easier and cheaper to replace a shaft then a ring gear/locker.
@jhutchmb3 жыл бұрын
@@KhaoticKreations-K2 If you're building a fuse into your rig, I don't think you're doing it right.
@KhaoticKreations-K23 жыл бұрын
@@jhutchmb if you’re building it right you should. For the amount of trips we do a year, we need vehicles to run without catastrophic damage. If you don’t have those parts in place you’ll be out a rig for a long time. Especially with parts backordered so long.
@jhutchmb3 жыл бұрын
@@KhaoticKreations-K2 this has no logic to me. It sounds like a fake defense for the yukon comment. If you truly wanted a fuse, make it in the lockout hub. Takes minutes to change and has no risk of wiping out a knuckle or shafts. But instead you claim you put the fuse in a steering ujoint? Nah.. I'm calling bs
@KhaoticKreations-K23 жыл бұрын
@@jhutchmb well considering the people smoking these u joints are on spicer or Dana shafts not sure how that would be a statement for Yukon. Not 1 setup has been a Yukon component that has failed. I have built dozens of these setups and that’s how we all do it. Unless your on tons hubs aren’t an option unless you want to dump over 1500 on a setup for it. And to add to that, most people are gonna run slugs so they won’t break one anyways, and hubs also have a potential to take out stub shafts if they break as well. So that’s 2 parts instead of 1 u joint. Next question.
