thanks for posting. you helped me fix my 1968 International Harvester 3/4 ton Pickup with 1904 Holley Carb. The econ stem assembly slipped off the pin and was crooked on my carb.

Can't you dip the float in RedKote or some sort of fuel tank liner material to seal it to fuel leakage?

So if you only hear one check ball rattling in metering block or stop one and can't hear the other one and can't seam to free it with carb spray and air, I need to drill out the plug? the little check ball is the one I am refering to and my issue is that the accelerator pump isn't spraying

Nevermind, I answered my own question, heated up that checkball on my stove and all pieces came out on the floor after I shook it and couldn't find the checkball, luckily I had another kit for another carb and the ball seemed like the right size and its working again, that circuit was completly clogged.

My best friend has a 56 f100 and he wants so bad to have the 3 carb setup, So he has the org 1904 carb and working well and I just bought him a glass bowl one that looks like it might be just fine. The insides look GREAT. So as long as the pump is still good and the gaskets do not leak then he has one he can use in the center or at least the bowl on his org one. I am watching other ones on eBay with the glass bowl and some very nice and some older. Have only seen one just the glass for sale and it was sold. But I told him that finding them + the ring and the retainers will not be easy and might not find them. The ring I know he could make easy but the retainers and the way they are made will not be that easy if you want them all to look the same. Any advice would be great and I do have your web site save so we can order rebuild parts for one. But the pump thing if by chance there are not any numbers we can be able to see will be the biggest problem I think?Just best we will be buying parts from you real soon.

Hey, at 6:30 you can see a white/yellow gasket that fell off inside. I had this same one that was loose after pulling it apart. I cannot figure out where it came from, or where it goes and I'm worried it's why my idle circuit might be causing my '60 falcon to stall/run rough. Any ideas??

Hello I have a Holley with a number 6R1545B on the main body with a list 1686 stamp and 5750275 on the small part above the float bowl. Any help to identify this for me would help me get the kit i need. Also, on the base plate there is one single small hole. What does this do and if it is covered up will it affect the air/fuel mixture? Do i need a special gasket for this type hole?

I was wondering if I could get the plastic part seen in 00:20 - 00:24. When you hold it straight, and the bowl facing you, it would be on the left towards the back and it connects to a lever to the valve?

Question: at the 11 minute mark, you mention braising the end of the throttle shaft and throttle linkage. What type of flux and rod material do you use to braise the end of the throttle shaft? The linkage on mine is metal and the shaft I believe is brass or copper? It has movement from years of service.

@@MikesCarburetor I meant rod braise material. I tried bronze, couldn't get it to stick. I'll try silver. If that doesnt work. I suppose I can drill and tap.

@@campsite21 how did this go? I have gasoline gushing out of the throttle of my carb and the remanufactured carb I just installed. I'm losing hope of getting this ole classic on the road...

@@springchiropractic9182 I rebuilt the carburetor with parts I purchased from Mike's Carburetor. I installed and used a vacuum gauge tester (compound meter). You can pick one up from Harbor Frieght. Replaced the vacuum advance, and timed it. The engine has electronic ignition as well.
