Holley 4150 Street HP carb rebuild- Part 3/3

Here is the 3rd and Final video in the series I did on rebuilding my Holley 4150 Street HP carb that I purchased at a swap meet. I used the Quickfuel 3-302 Super rebuild kit that replaced virtually all the soft and small parts of the carb. I did make a rather glaring mistake when I did the rebuild but I did catch it by the end and took it apart again to correct the mistake. I will let you watch and see if you notice the mistake before I mention it in a caption. Hope this vid might help you. When I searched for rebuild clips I could not find anything for this model so I thought I would do this one.

I used a combination of a few things, larger buffing wheel on bench grinder, small air powered die grinder and then a dremel tool with small buffs and felt bobs. then finished it with some mothers metal polish and a rag.

You should always install Your float assemblies first so any trash from the tapped holes in the float bowls won't end up in the accelerator pump diaphragms or in the needle & seats. Your secondary linkage you installed on the wrong side of the linkage it installs from the inside Your is upside down. Your float bowls are also installed backwards which may cause another problem rather than that you should look into installing the green gflt diaphragms by the look of corrosion in your float bowls & metering blocks your local fuel has alot of ethanol in it causing the severe corrosion present inside of your carburetor.

the secondary jets were 83's. the carb was way to rich when I tried it on the car. I have removed it again and am going to go with smaller jets primary and secondary. and I will check on that float setting. thanks.

no, good guess though... it was the primary and secondary bowls put on wrong ends. had to take apart again and put them on the right ends, after swapping the floats into the correct bowls.

they were the Pink pump cams that were on the carb when I bought it. the kit did not come with any replacements. You can see them clearer in about 8:56 of the part 1 video.
