I’m having the same problem as well. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. This video does help though. Thank you.

know im late to this. im having a similar issue but not exactly. my car starts and runs (rich as hell) aslong as i keep my foot slighty on the pedal 1/16 maybe. but it reads no rpms and says STALL . Cant even get the ecu to keep any changes. sent to holley hopefully they can get it fixed.

My ecu was broken out the box!!. It failed holleys testing. I was past the one year warranty date and offered 10% off the next ecu..😢😢😢 a new ecu is around $1000

Had the same problem with my ecu, after spending some time on the phone with tech support I sent the ecu into Holley and they confirmed it was the internal voltage regulator and when they contacted me they said they could “pull some strings” in order to get me 10 percent off of a brand new ecu. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Holley and the customer service they have, however that is not my experience. Hope you all have better luck with getting a replacement than I did.

Hate to hear that. Wonder if them selling out to to a public company is starting to take affect on their policies...

10% off??? They should sent ppl out new ecu s. It’s their damn issue.

Omg this just happened to me...broken out the box and oast one year warranty. I was offered 10% off the next ecu

were you getting spark during this time?

I'm not sure. I didn't check for that. Was more worried about the voltage.

Mines exact same.. 14 months old.. no warranty.. shows 0 rpm when cranking. Apparently there is a known ECU issue with "over voltage".. I parked mine truck up a year ago and bought a diesel truck.. so despondent with Holley

check all your 12Vs. It was a back feed into the ecu and the ecu was in some sort of protection mode. It was a 12v that was grounding to the block.

@CastellawSpeed could you give me some further info. My ecu has no crank and past 1 warranty. New ecu is like $1000
@CastellawSpeed2 ай бұрын
Make sure you don't have a 12v grounding back to the ecu.

No warranty after 12months 😢 anyone know a place that works on ecu internals?

Did you ever find out what was going on?

Yes I found a 12v wire that was rubbed through causing an interment grounding through the block

@@CastellawSpeed i have the second ecu doing the same thing. What wire it was? holley harness or trucks own wiring. please answer, im gettin tired of this voltage problem.
@CastellawSpeed Жыл бұрын
@@xrs599 It was an original wire on the truck harness that I believe went to the auto choke. It was worn through on the corner of the block over the starter.

@@CastellawSpeed did it damage the ecu? or it worked after you repaired the wire? I had the exact problem and bought new ecu and it worked whole last summer and two weeks ago it fired up normaly after winter. then i shut it off and it showed 20v and 9,8 volts. battery was 12.3volts. it doesnt fire up fuel pump or ignition sdo it doesnt start. I'm gonna toss this ecu to wolves if it broken again dammit.
@CastellawSpeed Жыл бұрын
@xrs599 no the ECU was fine. As soon as I fixed the wire everything started working again. I'm surprised the ECU survived honestly.

Did anyone else have this problem this a different solution ?
@CastellawSpeed Жыл бұрын
It's typically a 12v wire that is grounding back through the ecu or you send it in to see if the internal circuits are bridging causing the issue.

Mate thank you so much for this video. ive had this problem for months your dead right it was a short just not on a wire inside my vac pump (even tho it still worked fine and thought it was dissconnected) i traced the ign wires like you said. im eternally greatful for your video thanks soooo much
