Hey mate, what brand of flex fuel sensor did you use?
@jermaineknowles872 жыл бұрын
They sell these as harnesses for Holley terminator now you can get just flex or just alternator or both that plug into the power tap

When will you upload the video to set up flex fuel on the Holley terminator X

I've been occupied this winter, but as soon as the jeep comes back out I'll be doing the rest of my terminator x series!

So am I understanding this correctly 3 wires coming off of the flex fuel sensor will go..... 1.) 5v sensor with a 10k ohm 5 watt resistor 2.) 12v power 3.) Sensor ground And I can get all 3 of those wires at the power tap plug on the holley terminator x main harness. Is this correct?

You got it

@@busa4meeI'm get lost with the 5v wire I just watch a few video's and a couple vids said the 5v wire coming off the sensor goes to the input side on the I/O harness. NOT to the 5v sensor wire on the power tap plug. So what one should I connect to 5v sensor wire at power tap or the input side of the I/O PLUG
@busa4mee2 жыл бұрын
@@95turbostang21 watch the video again. I talk about the input wires, even the color I used. NOT the 5v reference from the tap.
@95turbostang212 жыл бұрын
@@busa4mee OK now I got it just watched the video again for the 3 time its amazing when you listen and watch closely you understand 😀 So I will take the 5v output wire from power tap put and 10k ohm resistor on that wire then connect one of my input wires to it then connect my signal wire from flex sensor....then the other two wires from flex sensor is 12v switch, ground now should I run ground to a sensor ground or just regular ground. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you just want to connect things properly

Can you explain what actually happens if you connect the sensor on the high pressure line? Does it not read correctly? or does the sensor go bad faster or something? Thank you in advance.
@busa4mee2 жыл бұрын
Most important for guys making big power is the sensor necks down to 3/8 line and is very restrictive. Outside of that it's not designed to operate at rail pressure, and it's likely an early grave for the sensor even if it does read correctly somehow
@dak46702 жыл бұрын
@@busa4mee Ok, cool thanks. I recently saw that Motion Raceworks sells a work around for the 3/8" issue but they also recommend putting it in the high pressure side.
@dak46702 жыл бұрын
@@busa4mee Here is the video that I saw that they "prefer" (not "recommend" like I said) the feed line. I guess if there is aeration or too low of pressure in the return line that the sensor will not read correctly. So now I'm not sure where to put lol. :-)

Where did you buy the 5v 10k ohm resistor? I’m having a hard time finding them.
@@busa4mee Why does this suggested resistor not look at all like the one you wired in? Judging by pictures it looks like you used something like a 10v 10k ohm resistor. I still don't quite understand why that needs to be there at all but when I try to read my flex sensor it just says low.
@WhiskeyThrottle2 жыл бұрын
Just for clarification, you are supplying 5v from the holley --to--> 10k resistor --to--> holley input wire ---> signal wire from flex sensor? Or did you?
