Hollow Knight - lofi/chill mix

Hollow Knight is a game that I admire very much, but unfortunately have not beaten because I am not very good at Hollow Knight. However, I've always enjoyed the music, the aesthetic and the skill people bring to the game. So what better way to celebrate that and the (eventual) release of Silksong than with a lofi/chill mix?

I've featured Collosia on my Chrono Trigger Synthwave and my Taia777/Checkpoint Lofi. I'm impressed by how much different stuff they've done in different genres!
4:22 - Dirtmouth (Relyea)
Relyea has a TON of great Hollow Knight lofis, I had to feature a few of my favorites! I love how the original is sampled in this, it's a common theme through Relyea's excellent library.
6:26 - Hornet Lofi (Cadred)
I do love it when someone is able to make a longer lofi cover. Not trying to criticize any other tracks based on length, I just love something that's both long and good.
10:27 - Greenpath (MODUZEN)
I found MODUZEN through his awesome Chrono Trigger covers. Glad to see he's got a bit of another great game in his repertoire
13:28 - Queen's Garden (emphase)
Fun fact: The Queen's Garden/Kingdom's Edge were the last areas I unlocked before the game surpassed me in skill level
Other fun fact: This is good music.
16:13 - Resting Grounds (Collosia)
The way some people feel about City of Tears I feel about this song. It's always so beautiful.
18:42 - Forgotten Crossroads (Lotskoo)
The beat in this one is nice. I do love a good beat, that's what makes some good music after all!
21:55 - White Palace (rio)
I never made it to white palace but I sure can appreciate good music!
25:14 - City of Tears (Collosia)
This is one of those areas that made me think, "huh Hollow Knight would go pretty well with lofi.."
27:59 - White Palace (Slow Remix)
If I realized I wouldn't have put this so close to the other White Palace! This is good, though.
31:46 - Greenpath (Valentyn)
I really like that intro with the game noises, I had to keep it in it was so perfect! Plus the song is excellent, I'm a sucker for lofi with acoustic parts.
34:42 - Kingdom's Edge (Relyea)
I really like how this took a cool ambient theme and added some stuff to it. So cool!
36:42 - Hollow Knight (Relyea)
Another Relyea gem, I really like the direction this takes. The guitar sound is immaculate.
38:21 - City of Lofi (Loops)
This is definitely one of my favorites. I really love the compressed sounds!
41:18 - Dirtmouth (Collosia)
43:36 - Queen's Garden (Relyea)
Hot take: I prefer Queen's Garden to Greenpath. Those are probably in my top 3 tunes tho.

I do appreciate the synthy style of this one. Always nice to mix it up a little!

It took me until this long to realize that the skips in VG Lofi Nights' songs were just part of their style. Now it helps me appreciate them a whole lot more!
51:22 - Resting Grounds (Relyea)
I love the distortion on this one!! Relyea has a stellar library but this is definitely one of my personal favorites.
53:55 - Dirtmouth (UmeChokoreto)
I almost used a pic of Dirtmouth for this, but I like to go with official art rather than in-game images for my lofi mixes, so I chose this screen instead.
55:16 - Crossroads (BOOM BAP SWORD)
I really like the distortion effects on this, it sounds like SummoningSalt music or something cool like that.
58:23 - Greenpath (VG Lofi Nights)
Greenpath really goes well with lofi, huh? Love the little nature-y intro, too.
1:00:46 - Reflection (Collosia)
I decided to book-end this one by beginning and finishing with covers of Reflection. It's a good song, and one of many from this game perfect for Lofi.

Ooo nice some Hollow Knight remixes. 0:01 This one is so calm and yet goes so hard, some creative percussion too! 1:55 Lo-fi Hollow Knight motif, nice. 6:22 Guitar Hornet sounds like a gunslinger theme I love it. 10:27 Greenpath is such a cool song, and this remix builds it up just enough. Love that flute as well. 13:28 Same with Queen's Gardens! 16:13 Oddly, this remix picks up the tempo of Resting Grounds. Works really well though. 18:42 Damn, adding a beat to Forgotten Crossroads honestly really helps. 21:55 I see the buzz saws have been replaced with a _trap_ beat. 25:14 That synth replacing the woman singing is beautiful. 27:59 Ooo the beat in this White Palace, and the accentuated piano, really help keep the song tense. 32:23 That bell-like soundfont is cool too. 34:42 Ngl the cutting completely changes Kingdom's Edge for me. It sounds a lot more bleak. 38:21 City of Lofi is just beautiful. (Also I think you named this one wrong in your pinned comment.) 43:36 That steady guitar, and the slowed tempo, create a really cool effect. 46:13 Ooo I like those SEGA synths. 48:30 That snare works so well for a rainy setting. 51:22 Those are some powerful strings. Feels almost like a Metroid song! 53:55 And this Dirtmouth remix almost feels like a Oneshot song.

I find Hollow knight a amazing , awesome, and interesting game with interesting characters and lore but the thing that I like about the game is it’s songs like I don’t know what is about it but it just feels really peaceful and mysterious at the same time like it’s just so good

This has really saved me when studying for my exams. Even though I work at a slower pace (thanks to the tempo of the music) it is constant, and achieves far better result. I have like, doubled the productivity listening to this. Why this specifically? Other loft music also works, but the nostalgia of soul knight really helps too.
