EDIT: I just went scrolling down and found that I installed the wrong version of the mod. EDIT #2: Nevermind. It still wont work. Keeps saying I need to check the mod log (idk what that is). This would be an awesome Alternate Universe, one where the Pale King was much more cruel and forced everyone to worship him, using soul to turn everyone into mindless servants to him. The Radiance was kept alive by a few members of the moth tribe, and a young moth child was chosen for the radiance to take control of and kill the Pale King

omg this mod changes so much more than most other skin mods... seriously, it makes the spells change ENTIRELY! that's like its own mod on its own not excluding the ACTUAL skin changes! then modding the radiance to become the pale king, especially the entire arena and summon/start animation! whoever made this should be HELLA proud! this must have been either hell or really fun to make, and the results speak for themselves!

Alternate Universe lore I thought of that could fit this. The Radiance, using vast of their remaining power, reincarnated into this tiny form back to reality. Breaking out of The weakened Hollow Knight’s containment. In a similar way The Pale King changed from his wyrm form to his current one. To kill him square on in the same realm. But it turns out she already won. Her infection plan was so good the poor guy was driven to suicide. (How did the new true ending happen?) The Knight, unaware of all this- fights The Hollow Knight without the Void Heart. Hornet helps despite that. Upon dream nailing it’s weakened sibling, it finds the arena strangely empty of the foe it was destined to fight. There is no way out of the realm. Climbing to the third platform, to look pensively at the horizon, a sudden divine enlightenment fils The Knight. Resonating from within The King’s Brand. Allowing their form to ascend into a powerful imitation of the Pale King. It then takes the place of the landscape’s boss. Merging in the background as a pale sentient pale sun. In a switch of roles, waiting for it’s enemy to come for it. However, despite being given the strength of the Pale King’s form, it lacks a strong connection with the void. Which proves to be the key in The Radiance’s defeat. And the imitated figure of their creator is still far from reaching the original’s power. Dooming it to fail the fight against The Radiance even in it’s weakened state. The Hollow Knight still became it’s ally in the shade form. But the last minute protection it provided was futile. (Hornet helping The Radiance?????) Hornet helped the Radiance open up HK’s shell again because she’s actually a reanimated husk. Hornet tried killing The Radiance in the City of Tears(next to the HK’s statue) but failed, and died losing the fight. After that, Radiance revisited her corpse, bringing lifeseeds she then ordered to enter her deceased shell. To really rub salt in The Pale King’s wounds.

The author really have a lore for this skin. Mini Radiance - a light fragment doesn't kill Hornet, in addition made her realized that Radiance's light even much stronger than her dad one and that light will guide whole Hallownest. 😅

A daily reminder that under Radiance rule moth tribe lived a peaceful life with only a handful of volunteer warriors that weren't even their militia while Pale King not only had a heavy militarised state with the army, void-made creatures as his personal guard and elite knight Death Squad but was fine with executing those who stood against him and forcing Maggots to do the all hard work (basically slavery). Also in White palace you can find a tablet that literally says "Only one light is worthy to prevail. Mine". People usually mention only throwing children into the Void when it comes to bad things Pale King did, but that worm is full of so many crap that using this exact way to save his -ass- reign wasn't even surprising.

yes, YES lmao. idk why people seem to just take for granted that the pale king was _sooooo much better._ I guess the idea of losing your free will freaks people out, but the thing is if you REALLY didn't have "free will", you wouldn't even know the difference anyway. Life without free will might not even be _distinguishable_ from life _with_ it, because literally any action could be orchestrated by whatever "will" was in control. It's like that argument people make that says that "maybe fate really does exist, because maybe you would always make the exact same decisions based on your brain chemistry and the circumstances of your life", like... who cares? anyway sdjkghkslmao, not to get too philosophical. lore of little radience [my take]: after they have started the infection, after a long while they got to escape at the cost of having to get into a smaller form, they decided to finish what they started by removing it, but they have to face all theyre problems, including people who Hated them. can they redeem themselves and become a better person? or will they be overpowered by what they started, putting everyone into misery? to simplify it they want to fix what they have done, and they hated what they have turned it into, so after escaping they have to get theyre powers back and fix the problems lingering around the world of hollow nest and so on. i think this is the best lore version of hollow knight because the villian actually gets to have a chance to live and fix what they have done as a punishment of also having to earn all theyre power back and facing the problems they have created as theyre responsibility remains to be fixed by them and them alone.

i can see an update where you change the hollow knight fight to more directly fight the void rather than an infected hollow knight. I saw a comment talking about the missed opportunity for the PK to throw buzz saws at you and im about to download the mod so i dont know yet if some of these changes are charms or not like healing i saw was more like using spore shroom. last thing is the descending dark spell if the spears do damage and if they do perhaps make it more timed with the crash on descending dark so its more coherent and makes using the spell more natural to advanced players Edit: I just realised this video is 8 months old and no idea how i missed this
