Listening to this after (fina-fricken-ly) going back to listen to the Devilish Warlock/Alluring Warlock videos, I'm struck by how _similar_ Thalvich and Staris describe their relationship with the Listener. Staris describes the Listener as someone who "wandered into [his] sanctuary" looking for power, and takes them on as his apprentice; Thalvich uses pretty much the exact same description (even calls his shop "the Sanctuary") and says his role is to "hand [them] an opportunity" (an apprenticeship?). Staris says he and the Listener are "linked by fate"; Thalvich says his and the Listener's souls are "fiercely entangled". And of course, Staris kept Thalvich around as a sort of pet back in the first video... Considering what Thalvich says about blood containing a person's soul, I'm a little concerned about why exactly Staris isn't around right now...
