Holloway to the First Line? Is Skinner the Guy?

Luke Gazdic joins the show as the 'Pro Am Sports Big Guest of the Day' to talk about the loss. He talks about a team getting four goals and how a team should get the win if they're able to put up a four spot. He shares what he thinks of Stuart Skinner and how long his leash is. Gazdic highlights the amazing playing of Adrian Kempe against the Oilers before shifting to talk about Dylan Holloway and how he fits in the lineup with his recent game. Gazdic shares that he thinks Janmark and Holloway both look great and that Holloway is fighting up the lineup. He does say that even though he adds a scoring option on the fourth line to maybe bump him up to the top line and bring down Foegele. Gaz then talks about Nurse during the OT winner from Kempe. He wraps up his Oilers talk by stating that high scoring games are only in the Oilers favour and can outscore the Kings. After Gaz leaves the boys talk about lineups, involving Corey Perry and his play in last night's game. #oilers

holloway is fine at where he is. may be give the line more time. problem is kane perry line... if he has an injurY, he should sit out. give s.g a chance. like derek r too but he will be roughed up vs the kings.

Kane is fine....Perry is the problem..Too slow! Brown should go in for Perry...Need his speed, fore checking and penalty kill abilities.

To be paying a defenceman $9 million a year to fail so grossly in overtime yet again is a core part of the problem. Nurse is not Pieterangelo and is paid as if he were. Ridiculous. And Skinner is a very mediocre goalie, and Wednesday was a gross example of that. It is the failure of Holland to not address these fatal flaws in personnel that will deny the Stanley Cup in the McDavid era. It both tragic and incompetent. Tonight in LA could be very ugly.”

If you’re looking to put Holloway on the first line because he’s playing well while not on the first line, then that person doesn’t understand playoff hockey.

Just leave things alone.. It was just one game and no need for a realignment. They just need to play with the same emotion and intensity as game one..Skinner will be back, The Oilers wouldn’t even be in the postseason without Skinner..

What’s wrong with speed on the first line. Holloway is dangerous …I do know my hockey and playoff hockey. In this game , it’s speed, toughness and defense Adam Henrique is a talented player but suited for lower line. Forget RNH. He has disappeared from the Playoffs. So has KANE. The team is not by the way putting HOLLOWAY ON 1ST LINE. It’s the same lines. The only change is DEREK RYAN AND BROWN BEING INSERTED.

Talbot played well??? Haha.. BOTH Holloways goals were pathetic.. but he’s an oilers so they were amazing I guess.. If skinner allowed Kulaks goal, you would say it was brutal too..

I like Holloway going to the top line but couple other things need to happen. Henrique to the third line to center Kane and Perry. Second line stays, it’s building something. McLeod to the fourth line and he MUST be on the ice when Kempe is. Just like Esa Tikkanen did against Gretzky in 1990. Wherever Kempe goes, McLeod goes. He’s a good checker and has the speed to keep up. Skinner is our guy but I’m not sure what he needs to do better. Pay attention? The Kempe 1st goal and their 4th goal were his fault.

Tikkanen covering 99 always seemed to result in whatever points Esa had, 99 had 1-3 more lol. Buchburger was a much better shadow imo. I also think the Doughy goal was horrid bad. I don't think the Oil have the tending to get a cup this year (unless Pickard or Skinner suddenly blossom beyond reason). but I really want to be wrong. I think your line idea's are worth consideration to.
