Feedback and sustain are the exact reasons why I go for hollows and semi hollows 8 times out of 10. One day i will own an ES-135

You're an incredible player! And that guitar seems pretty awesome and very well rounded. The reason I came across your video is that my local guitar shop has a brand new 59 Excel for sale and I wanted to check it out. Thank you for the video!!

Love D’Angelico. I have the Bob Weir Deluxe. And a Fender Ultra Tele and Ibanez. I think I need this one. I’ve been researching semi and hollow, this one moving up the list.

Man hollow body and semi hollow bodies are just way cooler than solid body guitars.

Nice video. I have recently bought an Excel 59 and love it. Awesome P90s and as you say, great for rock and blues.

Ted Nugent says he picked a hollow body - the Gibson Byrdland - specifically because of the feedback. It can be a feature in the right hands.

How did you get the tremolo tone at the beginning? It sounded awesome, like something from the 60s.

The P-90s in the D'Angelico have a more open, resonant sound then the ones in the Maybach I felt. More pleasing to my ear.

Another great video :). Do you play that silvertone you have in any videos? I just picked one up and am loving it. Wanna see how you use yours.

The Boss metalzone mt-2 sounds significantly better if you use a Semi hollow guitar makes it sound less like a robot.

That's a great looking and sounding guitar. I never played any of the D'Angelico guitars, but I would love to get one for myself at some point. I think they make classic looking instruments and that headstock looks killer. Great video dude. By the way, very cool tone. What amp are you using?
@LivingroomGearDemos3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! For the intro track I'm using an Ampeg V4 and a Supro Keeley Custom 12. For the playthrough part, Supro + Fender Pro Reverb.

Hey man what do you prefer between your 335 or the d angelico
@DeadWhiteButterflies3 жыл бұрын
Tbh, I never understood the mentality of "this thing can only be used for one genre and if don't use it for that, then you're not using it correctly". There's certainly gear with strengths and weakness based partially on their design and on the player, but to just restrict it to one genre makes no sense to me. It weird how people can think it's blasphemous. Hell, I play heavy Stoner Metal on my Epiphone Dot all the time! I hardly have issues with it. That guitar can handle anything, and most guitar guitars can.
@JacobH933 жыл бұрын
I’ll be honest, I’m not super into D’Angelico guitars (tried some hollow bodies but I liked some of the Epiphones better personally), but there are some killer tones here!

Haven't tried many myself, but I definitely like this one
