How's the tuning w/ regular use of the tremolo? Any particular strings help with it? My Guild StarFire V (2021) is great but the trem knocks it outta tune pretty easy, even w/ a roller saddle.

Sounds like the OCD pedal to my ears, kind of like a mix between an Overdrive, Distortion and fuzz pedal together.

I liked the 8.5 seconds where you rolled down your volume knob. The rest not so much 🤷

This thing sounds incredible. I always prefer fuzz that retains a percussive low mid or mid attack the way this does. Useable throughout a wide range. The fact that it does that ripping thing in higher gain is everything I want. Will be ordering one asap. Thanks!

All the small Peaveys from the early 80's are the same preamp design. Check out Audition 20, it even has the same speaker and better fearures. 😉

I think I like the sound, but is the pedal always this noisy? This hum or hissing is unbearable and as loud as the actual playing. :-(

The first QotSA song that really sank its teeth into me was Burn the Witch. That entire album with its Brothers Grimm aesthetic really spoke to me in my formative years and set me on the path of learning bass guitar. I have never put it down and BtW is still my go-to warm up/tuning song.

A Baxandall EQ is a special type of shelving equalizer based on a circuit developed by English electrical and audio engineer Peter J. Baxandall in 1950. In fact, it’s often called a tone control, and if you’re old enough to remember the “bass” and “treble” tone knobs on older hi-fi stereo systems, there’s a good chance they were Bax filters under the hood.

As a kid in the 70’s I saved up for a year working in a lumber yard to buy my first good amp. The music store steered me to the Ampeg Vt-40 (mine was a “top loader” with the controls on top ) and it was fantastic. HEAVY, I thought it was ridiculous to have a suitcase style handle on it since I always had to carry it in my arms. But LOUD, and very nice tone. Back then we cranked it at gigs, and I had an ES-335 so semi hollow body, and it was like riding in a lion, had to tame it all the time or serious feedback, dampen strings when not playing them. Got useable feedback too. But it seriously moved som air too. 4 10” speakers, just perfect. I used it for twenty years.
