I got one of those Woodcut hollowers too. It sure beats the hell out of those scraper tipped hollowers.

A good demo of deep hollowing w/o the use of a stabilser. You make it look easy. At first I thought you were using dry wood but you said near the end that you'd leave it to dry, What's your experience of deep hollowing dry wood or is this best being avoided? BTW I assume the woodcut hollowing tool is more or less a ring cutter with a limiter but I couldn't quite see the detail in the head. A good vid for showing technique and how you progress down the vase. Thanks for sharing

Hi Ray, thank you for your comments and query. Yes the Woodcut pro Forme Hollower to hollow wet and dry wood. We recommend for hollowing dry wood to ensure the cutter is sharp which is easily achieved with a diamond hone. Then approach the hollowing in sections and let the cutter do the work for you, don't force the cutter. The Woodcut Pro Forme user guide explains this in more detail, please email us support@woodcut-tools.com if you would like a copy of the user guide. Best regards Dan

The video was OK. However, it only showed you doing the same thing repeatedly. Kind of boring really.
