About 55 years before this take place Ezio sat down on a bench in Firenze taking his final breaths not knowing that his "struggle is not only moving in one direction but all directions towards the truth" (From AC Revelations) and this game is one of the many directions, we're finally getting a full blown asian based assassins creed game my fellow assassin's, lets hope this turns out good :) Nothing is True and Everything is Permitted.

As an Asian man I’m bummed out that the main character isn’t a Japanese male. I know there’s a female one but every other game had a female and male character from the area they were trying to represent. Miyomoto Musashi should’ve been the samurai. There hasn’t been an Asian Male lead in an assassins creed game and that’s what upsets me. Because there probably won’t be another chance for a while. Adewale and Bayek were black assassins already. I wished I was able to see an a strong Asian male character in the game. This would be like if they made an AC china set in the Yuan dynasty and they decide to make Marco Polo the main protagonist just cause he was apart of Chinese history for a second. I’m not hating on Yasuke I love that he’s in the game but he should not be the lead character. I know there’s a Japanese female lead but not having a male Japanese character is a bummer. I’ll probably watch Hollow play this but I will not be purchasing this for myself. I cannot bring myself to support this. I feel left out and disrespected as an Asian man.

You should try Ghost of Tsushima, one of my all time fav. Was awesome playing as Jin. As an Afrucan, i'm even more stocked playing as the Legendary Samurai exploring Japan for the first time, also playing as the female protagonist from Japan will be cool af. Definitely a day one for me! Last AC game I played was black flag and with all the marketing on this one, its definitely a day one

I totally understand how you feel but I really think that you need to think about the amount of games that have a “strong Asian male main character” and compare that to the amount of games that have yasuke as a main or even playable character. Adewale was a 4 hour dlc which you Chinese mobile game will probably be longer then. I get why you would be a little bummed out but generally being mad when there is millions of games with male asian main characters with new ones coming out each year is really a stretch. I could be totally wrong here, but from what I gather, you're not picking the "samurai route" or the "ninja route" but instead playing as both characters, using the ninja first for thinning the guards in large forts,maybe taking out the brazers and switching to the samurai to take out who's left, or if you like balls deep combat like me, just plowing through encampments with the samurai, smashing skulls, but switching to ninja for range attacks. It would be really surprising if it's just a whole playthrough as one or the other

So it’s confirmed you can switch seamlessly between them at almost any point in the story, but sadly I heard that you can’t switch during combat or in restricted zones so you gotta pick one for clearing out a base or killing some dudes. Although I bet there will probably be missions where you switch between them

Like, don't mix them together. I want to have ups and downs with both characters And it would be interesting to be able to switch between them, and, i don't want force missions where the game forces you to be with that one character I'm thinking about a similar thing like the conquest battles in Odyssey, were you could choose to have either harder fight with more reward, or easier fight with less reward

Just a friendly FYI, female shinobi are referred to as kunoichi(scratch that, I stand corrected and did more research, it's more a modern term), and there is no definitive proof that Yasuke was a samurai but he was considered a retainer of Oda Nobunaga. I know that people probably don't care, but I though that it was interesting to mention.

To be fully honest I have no respect or hope for this game. Visuals are beautiful but mirage was such a let down and the fact they couldn't just make the main character a true character of it's region. I've never seen a black samurai and I feel them on trying to implement the first black samurai which I'm sure there were a handful in a time when slavery still existed and even though we weren't viewed as equal as Japanese people. It feels like Assassins Creed is just trying to make sure they check boxes here and make a knock-off Ghost of Tsushima. The franchise is slowly dying it's sad. I was a massive fan and the past few years have just been sub par.

@@overused6632 these are two different things. The company who made the trailer is not Ubisoft. It is a Hungarian company called Digic which has nothing to do with the game. I'm totally against what Ubisoft did with The Crew as well, but if you think about it, the Assassin's Creed franchise is their most important franchise. You can still play the original game from 2007 so I doubt that they will remove it any time soon. Also, most digital purchases of games are rental anyway (even on Steam), this is the sad world we are living in. However, I wish that people would put away the Ubisoft hate for a second and just enjoy the quality of this CGI trailer which takes time and talent to make. :)

Cant wait to see you finish this game so i can decide if i want to play it. DEFINIYELY STEALTH CHARACTER. I can't play fast action games like COD. It's too much. Im probably one of very few that wants to see the whole game before i decide what to do. Same with movies. I want to know story, ending, who dies, basically all spoilers before i watch. I hate going into something blind and waste my time. Plus i forget who is who 15 minutes after seeing them. I need to see a movie at least 5 times to understand it. I usually watch movies and play games for fun, NOT the story. I skip all cut scenes. They drive me crazy. I want to play not watch. Only game i know i want is GTA 6.
