I was really hoping that Ciri wouldn't be the main character.. for one thing, I've seen and heard enough about Ciri. The only character I would even remotely be willing to replay would be Geralt. I would have much preferred an entirely new character all together. Someone with a badass backstory with tons of depth. Basically, someone on the same level as Geralt.. maybe a young up-and-coming Witcher out of skellige, with a viking tinge and an attitude.. where he has to learn to control his emotions and hone his skills. He also has to deal with his traumatic past and it ties into the story somehow. Witcher 3 is in my top five games of all time.. I was really anticipating this game. Unless I'm utterly blown away when I see it come out..I'm disappointed..

Had like 8 books plus 3 games with this legend. Let him relax on his vineyard with Yennefer( honestly only right choice. Seriously, read/ Listen to the books you'll understand) or Triss. Also another thing i see people complain about is if ciri a lesbian. I understand that as well. Modern gaming sucks balls. To much woke stuff. Though lets look at cyberpunk. They handled the relationships well. Plus this is new, we dont have that much information of ciri's so called "love interest".... only some. She was with a girl. Short story ciri ended up in a group called the rats. Almost got graped but one of the members. A girl named Mistle saved her but after the member who almost Graped ciri left.......... Mistle took advantage of ciri.... toxic relationship bro like TF. Well that relationship ended on good terms (skipped alot that happened between them). Still something happened to mistle later on. Like gosh when i listened to that chapter in the books. Just Dafuq man.... If I remember she ends up with a knight named galahad. Around the end of the book series but didnt really get much details cause the book basically ends around that time. Dont know what happened to him. The game doesn't bring him up. If anything shes swings both ways. Wouldn't be surprised if she's straight or a lesbian. If the writing is good I'm going to enjoy the story.

Ciri eventually being the main character for the games feels like the most natural thing to me. But I actually think there could be a Geralt section further in the game. Kinda like flipping TW3 on its head. Ciri looks for Geralt. And Geralt gets his playable sections. An experienced, old but still powerful Witcher. That would probably hype. Sorry, but any other character becoming the main protagonist in this story would just be objectively bad. For a spin-off then maybe. But if it's Witcher 4, it has to be Ciri. Witcher 3 ended with Geralt finally settling down in Touissant. Ciri becomes the new Witcher. Ciri was trained by both the Witchers at Kaer Morhen and also by Yennefer. She has been building up to be a main character for a long time. CDPR most likely won't give you the option to choose. Their style of story-telling isn't like that.
