The whole concept of “back rooms” is so eerie. It’s like we all vaguely remember being or seeing the place. You should look into it, whoever reads this.

Maybe that’s because….those weird office like buildings with the loud lights and the moist carpet guess what They were real. Backrooms is just a standalone story. What you're thinking of is something called "liminal spaces". Places that are familiar, yet you've never seen. Our dreams sometimes are to blame for the feeling. Look up "liminal pools" and you'll see what inspired the creator of this game.

Anemoiapolis feels to me like an experience of your sight deceiving you. You think something is there but its not really there, and if you get a good look of it you start to panic as when he entered the 2nd phase the staff pool like that object that hollow saw stuff like those are what you experience in a lonely area like this. Because you are so used to seeing people but when its only you, with the music or no music playing the space that is given and the atmosphere makes this game really amazing it really goes indepth of this what i fear and i love this game even if it fears me. Watching you comment and play still makes me scared but feels calm. Its not that you die to someone too like you would think that you are useless and if you die here nobody will know but if you think your special this would be a pretty scary place for you who are mostly surrounded by people and you would start choking in some areas even if no ones doing that to you. This is why we should stick with our loved ones dying alone sucks and this is the main point of this fear and to trick our brain. thank you hollow for playing this atrocious game loved watching you play it

The whole idea of being in this inside pool area, brings back so many scary memories from when I was a child. There was something always quite haunting about the pool. I’ve seen it more recently due to the popular Mr Incredible meme where his face changes due to the circumstance at hand. You probably know which meme I mean? One of them was an in door pool. Some really eerie stuff. Love your content bro! You’re easily one of my favourite KZbinrs. Whenever I get anxiety or feeling low in my mood, I pop one of your videos on and I start to feel better. As a big fan of V A P O R W A V E , (and with the exception of the scary dark bathroom section), i really reallllyyy enjoyed the atmosphere in this game… it was very hypnotic and relaxing imo, not so much “horror” although i could see how some people could be creeped out by it. The developer hit the atmoshere SPOT on. The map design is magnificent and the graphics are stunning. If this amazingly beautiful and exotic waterpark was real, you bet i’d 1000% have to visit it in person! The pink and teal hues, the blacks contrasting with the whites, the sharp designs mixed with the wavy ones, the tile, the lighting, the crystal clear water reflections, its all so amazingly done! Any screenshot from this game would make a great cover art for a vaporwave album. And that vaporwave music in the background (and especially at the end) is simply just the cherry on top… I never thought vaporwave could ever be implemented so wonderfully into a video game but here it is and im so happy to say that this game is truly a masterpiece… its all about the a e s t h e t i c ;-)

And as a bonus i’ve been in an empty mall and walked through one of its abandoned major tenant areas and it looked EXACTLY like 27:57 empty with most of the lights off and everything (it was two floors, elevator no longer worked though and a huge bag was put over it). I walked around on the open second floor and while it was a bit creepy, it gave off a very interesting vibe as well. In the customer service area I could still hear one of the phones beeping off the hook somewhere down a dark hallway and I think that creeped me out the most lol! The restroom lights gave off a glow through the open doorway and the sinks were still fully functional but otherwise all the lights in the main shopping area were off as seen in this video game. That was all just one section of the mall too. Unfortunately recent revitalization efforts to the entire mall have failed and a large majority of the main mall is now closed to the public but man I really enjoyed walking through that empty mall! The food court still had dated and sun-faded pictures of the food once being sold/served. As of this comment the entire place only has 3 active tenants left. Perhaps there is still hope that it will one day reach the greatness that it once had back in the 80’s…

you know that feeling as a kid when your in your basement and you turn the lights out, you feel like there is something there in the dark and you race up the stairs. that's what I started to feel when he was down in that dark locker room. I was expecting that thing to appear right in front or start chasing

Blown away by the game, they've executed the concept of liminal places so well. That being said, I'd love it if, contrary to what you think, there is in fact no one there with you. I'd bet that it's just the effect of exploring a Huge liminal complex alone, and the consequent paranoia. There's no objective or mission, just a submergence into nothingness. Love it.

I literally want to get an Autograph from this game developers. The architecture is mind blowing. If I were a Billionaire, I would give these guys a billion dollars to bring such design to life. Hat's off devs.
