From time to time I like revisit old covers, and I've been wanting to redo this one for awhile c: Lugia's Song was one of my first piano arrangements I ever made, I first played it alone and some years later together with the great musician @8BitBrigadier ❤ I asked him if he wanted to replay this one with me and fortunately he said yes! I'm so glad he accepted, I LOVE what he does with his flute, if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Make sure you check his channel, he's super talented! (mixing and video editing was made by him too!):

I made a new arrangemente for the song, now:
It's a real flute-piano duet, the flute part has more presence and became the protagonist of the cover as it should be c:
It's a bit longer and more loyal to the original song.
I mantained the arpeggios in the middle of the song from the old arrangement (they're structurally simple but people seemed to like them!) The rest of the cover is quite changed~
I remember watching this movie and falling in love with this theme. I would say the word to describe it is "magical", there's something ethereal about it that makes me shiver~ I hope you are able to feel that magic too, music can be a mysterious thing! Honestly I used to force myself to upload harder-to-play pieces just to impress and satisfy the audience (hard stuff can be very impressive!), but nowadays I'm just trying to offer performances that can move you, regardless of how hard to play they are, and I like that ♪

Agreed. Lugia might not be the strongest legendary compared to later legendary pokemon like Palkia or Dialga, but he's still my number 1 favorite pokemon, legendary or otherwise. Not sure if you're playing pokemon go as well, but I got 2 Lugia at the moment and they are awesome.

Pokemon silver being the first game i ever played all the way through, this song and lugia itself hold a special place in my heart. Any time I play it or the remake I always feel nostalgic. Watching the movie not long after my first playthrough was a pleasure. Left a permanent impact on 8 year old me. I'll never forget just sitting there, playing my gameboy i got second hand from my older cousin that year. And looking at the screen while fighting lance, and who else did I have out but lugia, right as He appeared in the movie.

brought me to tears, thank you! this is my all time favourite Pokemon track. Just hit me with nostalgia hard! I was 9/10 when this movie came out and Lugia's song has never left me all those years. I also always thought it was done by an ocarina like in the movie, but its really obvious now that it was always a flute!
