the fact that the music used to be some polytone tunes from a large brick without much soundquality is so wild in hindsight. makes it respectful how the composers found a way to make it work

That transition from Lavender Town to the Team Rocket Hideout was phenomenal
I recently got married and listened to this on my 25 minute or so walk to my ceremony. I was alone and just wanted some time to myself to reflect on a childhood and a life well lived, full of adventure, charm and happy memories. A big part of that was due to the Pokémon franchise and the feelings this music inspires. On my walk, through the music, I started an adventure, faced challenges and ultimately came to a triumphant end and a new beginning - this soundtrack encapsulates this feeling perfectly, beautifully delivered by this orchestra. I have played Pokémon for 25 years and this music still hits the spot. Thank you for getting me ready for married life.

wow...that's amazing, thank you very much for sharing! and good luck on your next adventure! 😁
I've tried from time to time to play the new entries in a desperate attempt to recapture my childhood, but they never really exceeded Red and Blue. For people who were born in a world where pokemon has always existed, I don't think it's possible to understand the sense of wonder we experienced when we first explored that world at around 8-9 years old, discovering what "pokemon" were for the first time. This orchestra arrangement was an amazing way to relive that.
Sounds so good! Your Pokémon concerts have always been my favorites! It's cool that you posted this video on the same day as the games were released btw! 😄👍
Lavender town is the most unbelievable part of this, but the whole thing is gold, I love what you've created ❤

9:23 damn this intro when Oak explains about the pokemon world made me really feel like I was in an adventure. オーキド博士がポケモンの世界について説明するこのイントロは、本当に冒険に旅立ちそうな気分になりました。
I love how as a 90’s kid I can just pin point the music and what’s happening during. Like going through the journey in 25 mins! Well done!

Listening to this with your eyes closed feels like I am playing the game and I can see each battle and move and the different scenes as you run through the towns, gyms and buildings.
