If only Ronda Rousey was this sweet, maybe her last two defeats wouldn't have hit her as hard as it did. And people would actually have sympathy for her.
@ashleyholdsworth66797 жыл бұрын
Kryptronicx x Ronda didn't want sympathy from anyone. She is simply say I am dealing with defeat and now how some serious problem because of the lose. Hopefully she learn what she did wrong on both fight and does good on next time. I still believe in Ronda I know that fighting take practices and just be carefully what you say . Go! Ronda!
@xdbox60927 жыл бұрын
Ashley Holdsworth Ronda appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show crying and claiming to have had suicidal thoughts was fishing for sympathy. And I'm pretty sure her fighting career is over after last Friday.
@ashleyholdsworth66797 жыл бұрын
Kryptronicx x yeah would you do the same too? She is an embarrassed and wanted to tell how she felt about losing she was not looking for sympathy for losing. Just simply showing emotions and try to keep her cool it was sad to watch. Now I am showing empathy for her.
@ashleyholdsworth66797 жыл бұрын
Oh you mean Ellen was showing sympathy for Ronda.
@xdbox60927 жыл бұрын
Ashley Holdsworth No, I wouldn't do the same. If she wasn't so cocky to begin with and displayed better sportsmanship, she probably wouldn't have had those thoughts. During her career, Ronda broke arms, laughed at her opponents, and refused to shake hands even as she won says a lot about her personality which is why people dislike her so much.

She verbalises the doubts she went through so clearly and concisely. It makes it really easy to understand her mindset and it's really striking to me to see how even someone who has been a champion, that is, someone who has performed at the highest level of their craft, struggles with the same doubts and insecurities as anyone else.

One common trait I've seen in people who I would consider exceptional, and totally killin' it at whatever they're doing: they're never satisfied. They also tend to focus less on where they're at than what they did to get there, if they couldn't have done a single thing better along the way, and what they need to do to get to the next level. Always looking inward, always checking themselves, never feeling like they're doing quite enough. My ex-wife is like that. She's far and away one of the most talented, resourceful, and capable people I've ever known in all my 51+ years. Anything she has ever set out to do in life, she's ended up knockin' out of the park...yet she was **constantly** fretting over everything. When she was in undergrad school, I once saw her melt down like fucking Chernobyl because she got a B+ on **ONE EXAM.** At times, I wasn't sure if her dogged determination and relentless perfectionism impressed me or scared the hell outta me. I think everyone has their own demons, their own doubts, their own insecurities; some people are able to channel it better, and use it to drive themselves in a constructive/positive way.

in times of distress yes.... 100% completely normal. How do I know? Because not one documented case exists where someone happy committed suicide. Not one suicide note EVER started with... "my life is so great" ... Ergo.... suicidal thoughts are preceeded by thoughts of personal loss, or in times of great distress... GREAT distress. and being the UFC CHampion for a few years and hearing from everyone you are the best then to lose in a spectacular fashion.... well... not ONE clinical psychologist in the world would argue... THAT is a VERY stressful situation. HUGE personal loss... for her. just wanted to clarify WHY someone has suicidal thoughts. Satan does not sit in Hell with a sort of Spinner where he spins it and random names come up and then he sends thoughts of suicide to that person. ANyway...
@alexbonesjones75707 жыл бұрын
Rick Dangerous no it's not normal... every suicidal person is distressed but not every distressed person is suicidal.... in fact the vast majority of people who are distressed are not suicidal. (Not everyone kills themselves when their parents die do they?) Ronda is very obviously, and self admittedly, mentally unstable. Just watch her run on TUF, or hear her tell stories about how she ran away for a year as a child to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Stop spewing bullshit

@TexanUSMC80893 жыл бұрын
Holly Holm was a professional boxer with multiple titles. She was a fighter like Ronda had never been matched against. She hit Ronda in the first 30 seconds that just about put her in dreamland. At that point she had never been in that situation. She obviously didn't recover. Holly dominated that match. Most professional fighters and boxers will tell you that on any given day, it only takes one hit to change everything. Every opponent you face is capable of making it happen. Ronda had never had that happen until that night. It's devastating I'm sure. I think it would help a little if she didn't always disrespect her opponents. Show a little respect, and that crow you have to eat won't be as hard to choke down. Ronda did a great job of marketing and building an empire in a very short time. It was a business and she did it well. Great job by Holly Holm. She took a grappler and destroyed her confidence in less than a minute.

Most warriors know that you have to risk losing to win. Not many professional fighters are undefeated for very long. I watched an interview with Micky Ward. He said he won his first 14 professional fights, then became a contender and lost four in a row. He went to work on a road construction crew for six months and thought about quiting boxing. He made a come back and was a top ten contender and a champion in his weight class for many years. You have to train you body and your mind. If your heart isn't in it...don't get back in the ring.

Once you have your entire ego invested in something when it goes away you feel like you have nothing. I find it kind of sad that someones entire sense of self worth can dissipate from a single kick to the head.

Everybody loses sometimes need to grow up, you can't always get what you want neither can anyone else. Lots of other things to do besides MMA so don't worry about it.

Lmao when you live in a bubble and think you're some godlike human being when in reality you got carried by luck in a further unskilled division and meet an actual skilled fighter than wipes the floor with you and brings you back to reality. Good for Holly.

I notice that all these professional fighters seem a lil "slow" when they speak like Mike Tyson.. can't be easy taking hits in the head for a living!! Salute to y'all!!!

Thats cause Tyson is illiterate.

Every body isn't a fast talker or used to giving interviews. That's why they have interview coaches & stuff. I was born, speaking fast; I had to take speech class for two years. That slowed down my speech patterns greatly. Now I talk like I'm eating pancakes in between every sentence.

Gotta laugh! She feels down cos she lost. But not so down - she wants a rematch. Life is a competition. Those who perform best achieve best. Society is to blame. Too many kids are brought up to believe their mommies and daddies will do everything for them for life. They believe a tantrum or a “you’ve hurt my feelings” will result in a reward. People have to lose occasionally to be able to feel the buzz of winning. Letting others achieve for you - what’s the point of living at all?
