The commenter that mentioned victory over the sun at the end of eyes of the killer got me curious and the inspiration is definitely clear to the point that thecatamites lifted the strongmen characters directly out of the play along with the "how much blood how much sabres" quote (these things arent on the english wikipedia page but they ARE on the russian version)

Having read it myself (ordered the cheapest translation i could when I found out "omg someone made Melmo but real!!!!" LOL), the inspiration is just about everywhere throughout the immersive theater. Not *in* all of it, the dinner party setup, the casting, Potsy, all of the "rewrites" and other such things are original, but it strikes me that one of the earlier generations of Melmo The Wanderer would've been more straightforwardly Victory Over The Sun But As Dinner Theater. Its all dusted with a heaping coating of VotS. Theres no time travel, universe-wide masculinization, fat beauties locked up in a house, zaum that i remember, or Caligula/Nero though :-( edit: ok theres like two words of zaum in this. maybe more. still less than the IRL play.
