Hollycombe Festival Of Mechanical Music 2024. Rawlins Marenghi.

This video shows the 89 key Marenghi replica, as built & owned by Mark Rawlins. It is attending one of the many special event days and weekends held at the Hollycombe Steam In The Country working steam museum. This recording was made on the evening of Saturday 21st September, within the area of the vintage fairground.

Something I particularly appreciate about this organ is the fantastic selection of "original" music that goes with it. It has to be music from the correct period to hold my interest. Glad you liked the video, I've done others of this organ.

@@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels yes has to be the right period ,, i love the old rideing tunes ,of the day , we have a lot of coin opp music large music boxes and disc up to juke boxes , period is up most ,, and captureing the magic , in the repair of

This organ needs another overhaul, it sounds worse than the last couple of videos.

Thanks for your comment. I enjoyed listening to it on the day. But I do read a few negative comments about it indicating that perhaps it's not totally optimised. I'm certain it's nothing major, just a bit of fine tuning/regulating, perhaps? Would agree it's not 100%.

I personally wouldn’t go through all the bother of building a organ then not tuning/maintaining it. To me it would just be pointless having it in the first place.
