David my bestie, what do I owe the pleasure? Hoping you are keeping well in the absence of event attending as we by in large have a long wait until the Detling event even though I have got the remote possibility of attending an event before the Detling one but it was a fantastic event worth attending as it usually is being that of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run itself but most importantly did you have a nice time riding on the route 701 before its route postponement and alongside your time attending the Brighton MRC Model Rail 2024 event a couple of weeks ago? Do take care best friend David, all the best to you 🙂. From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂.

Thanks for your comment Foxy. As you say, that's it for event attending for this year. It will all kick off again around April time once the days are longer and the weather hopefully milder once more. Yes, I enjoyed the last ride on the 701 though can't help but wonder if it might return sometime with a revised route taking in Lewes to some extent. Made a change travelling along to Patcham on the 5/5A that day too as I don't get to ride the 400ER's that much. One place due to reopen next year is Newhaven Fort, so will be keeping my eyes on their website for news. They did have some special event days for cars there in the past so hopefully that trend will continue. All the best for now.

So pleased to hear that you enjoyed my video and appreciate seeing these old commercial vehicles in action. The standard of presentation seems to be getting better all the time too, particularly with the subtle details. As an aside, I've been encouraged to keep up with these commercial vehicle events since realising they they get just as many, if not more viewers than my classic car videos. Great video and super weather too .. always an added bonus A couple of years ago, I was at Whitley Bay seafront and noticed something was going on, or at least was about to. After a few questions I found out it was a vintage bus rally. I quickly took out my phone and filmed some of the buses as they arrived. I even managed to take an open top bus ride on an old 1966 Leyland bus. My video proved quite popular, but sadly the Whitley Bay Bus Rally never took place again. 2022 was the last one.

@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels4 ай бұрын
Normally it's been playing a lot better than that. I gather it's a barrel organ been converted to run on midi and the problem was with the midi files I've read recently. Rest assured that nothing has been "destroyed" regarding the conversion and it could be returned to barrel operation if so required.

Yes, it really was a treat to see so many organs at this special event weekend. Typically though, organ numbers aren't that great at most UK rallies any more. There used to be plenty of them around but the typical rallies [local to me] only have 1 to 4. Never-the-less, it's worth travelling to special events such as this and the Weald & Downland organ gathering.
