GUYS! hey. just wanted to slide in here and say that WOW, yes, there is a lot of plastic. i think it is awful and i really do hate it, but if you are in the uk then you will be able to relate. literally EVERYTHING is wrapped in plastic and there is a very limited range of foods to buy loose in supermarkets. i really wish i could do something to change it but it is just so hard......basically impossible! anyway, i hope you enjoyed the video and i'll see you in another one!

Holly, because of you I quit the milk. It is a small chance and it is not a veganism the way you know it...but it is just a beginning. If you were the one who will want apples without plastic bags, by the time someone will notice and maybe the apples will be the only fruit without plastic, but that is exactly how we did it (CZ)...and you have a strong voice if you made me to at least drink soya milk...I don´t push you to do it, I just want you to think about it

@@HollyGabrielle It's just the same in Germany. But I know go to the weekly markets as often as I can. They pack the food in my own bags for me. And it's a lot cheaper than Aldi. I also buy beans, corn,... in glass instead of cans. You can throw the plastic waste into the bins in the stores after you bought them. I then pack my food in my own reusable bags. If evereyone does that, the stores will notice that they sell too much plastic waste. So they might stop packing every single item in plastic. And some stores sell frozen beans etc. in paper/cardboard. Your cats and dogs are so cute. And yes you really are inspiring. You're such a great help. Keep going. Thanks for your videos.

And what about seasonal fruits and veggies? I mean, cucumber, peppers and grapes are not seasonal in winter. It is not only plastic that one could and should avoid but also pay attention to regional and seasonal food.

I can relate to you about the plastic. Even here in my country, everything comes in plastic. You may choose to carry stuff home in a cloth bag, but the items themselves are in plastic! Fortunately, the weekly markets are where you can get veggies and fruits loose and without plastic.

Asda sells loose fruit without plastic packaging, or try shopping at a small market shop/fruit and veg shop, they generally have everything available without plastic - we need to try our best to reduce plastic waste in order to save our dying planet. Love and peace x

Hey Holly, I noticed you are using those self-scan at asda, I know it is very practical but just remember that the big companies want us to use those so they can slowly erase the cashiers and keep even more money for themselves. But a lot of people are surviving or paying their studies because of those kind of jobs... I just think it's important to remember that and keep going to the check outs with staff and actual people (and not just one to monitor). :)

I really hope you read this. I had the same problems with the dogs pulling so much. (Also quite large dogs) Here is what we did: my dad used one rope instead of two. I couldn't see how many you had but try to hold them on one..like put one end on one dog and then the other end from the same on the other dog, then hold in the middle with both hands. It helped us a lot, they pretty much don't pull us anymore. Greetings from Germany.😁

Every time that I am close to falling back into the lazy mode, I think of all the hard work you put into your studies and it's a little bit easier to come back to my desk ;) Also, you are an amazing motivation to eat healthier! As I've been watching your videos a lot during the time of A-Levels and I could identify a lot with your interests, I chose to study bioinformatics. I completely love it now that I'm almost finished with the first semester, but it is incredibly hard. Also,my first exam season is coming up just now! I still have lectures up until 4 days before the first exam. Do you have any major tips for the first uni exam(s) and how to stay calm and be able to revise even though you still have your regular lecture schedule? Lots of looove (:

Fun fact: When cats sit on your lap/table while you’re trying to work it’s because they’re trying to mirror your actions. Its a way cats bond and feel close to their owners similar to children copying what adults do. My cat does it while i sit on my laptop so I bought a little childrens laptop for $10 and now she sits at that one while I sit at mine.

Yes I'm with you here. Because of all the Plastic, I've tried Lately to get my food at the Farmer's market and for my weekly greens and fruits i pay 15 euro here in germany (generally one normal rucksack). And they even ask you if you want to have a plastic bag or if you have a clothed one yourself. It's really great! I wish we had more bulk stores though for things like noodles, potatos or rice Edit: though i understand that would be too expensive for a family of five (and pets!)
