Thanks for watching! That's tough to say as I've found it's sort of dependent on the location in my experience. But in general not any different from a Teradek or other system. In a sports stadium or something like that with a ton of signals, it will have issues.

Other than the SDI out, it seems the 300 Pro may be a better optioned unit than the 400S, especially since the 400S doesn’t have an HDMI out on the trans. Further, I’m thinking if you’re using gear with SDI, you’re already looking at the Cosmo line.

Yeah they're all good options. The 400 has a slightly stronger signal in my experience. But if you're only concerned about HDMI then the 300 Pro could be the better option for you.

@@FilmJams I agree. Being the Nikon Z6II is an HDMI out and not SDI, the 300 Pro will be a better cost effective choice. Though I still do not get why both the 400S and 400S Pro both lacking HDMI/SDI loop out options, forcing those looking to upgrade to go from the 300 Pro to the Cosmo C1. Also, while the option to buy the transmitter only is good, I just wish the option included the enhanced model.

Yeah very true. Wish we could have it all. But they’re a smaller start up company and I think they’re finding out what their customers want and slowly building a variety of products to fill out the needs of the customer base.

For some reason this isn’t connecting with my Small HD Indie 7 HDMI out. It’s saying a feed can’t be found. So can it only literally connect straight into a camera and not an out feed from an attached monitor like an Indie 7?

Yes it does. Just had to check. But it does transfer audio through HDMi Signal!

When you were talking about the iOS about and the the crown, did you adjust the audio in post to match what was on the screen? I’ve found that the latency is definitely NOT that short on camera when speaking.

No we did not adjust any audio or “fix” anything in post in regards to the latency. What you see is what you get. The latency can depend on a number of factors including your camera, the wifi connection, etc so if you’re not seeing that speed, would you mind sharing your setup? We can try to help.

@@FilmJams Also, let me elaborate. The feed was going into a switcher, to LED walls. We own everything and have extensive experience with live video event production and am aware of system delays introduced to the chain... BUT....in comparison to our Teradek stuff (we were trying the new Hollyland in hopes of buying 4 units of instead of having to buy 4 new Teradek units) we couldnt have anyone speaking on the camera using the Hollyland without it looking like a voiceover kung fu movie.

For sure! Always enjoy helping when we can. Ahh yeah the Hollyland through a Switcher might have introduced that extra latency that made it full “Kung Fu”. I think the Hollyland is great for small sets and indie filmmaking but I think for your application the Teradek is probably money well spent for that robust connection. The Hollyland also has more lag the further you get away from the transmitter. 100’ is probably pushing its limits as we had it top out at 120’ in our tests, but really performed best within 50’. Good luck with it - whichever way you end up going!

I wouldn’t want to say yes for sure as I’ve only tested 2 units at a time, but I imagine it should work. You can select the channels manually yes. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly about the maximum number of systems.

Have anybody used the lollipop or mushroom antennas with the 300 pro? I want to buy extra antennas and the mushroom seem to be more powerful than lollipop (5db vs 2.5db extra gain) but the last ones are design specifically for the 300 and 400 systems. I read that mushroom are compatible with these models although it was design for cosmo system...

It’s a hardware limitation from the manufacturer. Not sure. My guess is that it doesn’t have the juice to support more. And would increase the latency.

@@HoundDogMech I’m not sure exactly how the technology works but it’s not like old analogue TV where u just needed an antenna to tune in. Even the high-end Teradek systems limit their pairing to 4 receivers (some ultra high end ones have more). So I imagine it’s some type of hardware bandwidth limit. But yeah I hear you haha. The RC planes sound more fun! 😆👍
