Hollywood Actor Michael Sheen: 'I Gave Everything Away & Found Happiness' | This Morning

A few weeks ago i was waiting for a friend to arrive outside a theatre in London. Michael Sheen came round the corner and stood across from me. I tried to pretend i hadn't noticed to give him privacy but i think he spotted that i saw him. But then he facetimed his kids to say goodnight. It was so obvious how happy he was to see them. Seems like a good dad and man to me.

He is such an incredible human being and an example in so many ways, even indirectly: the simple fact that he exists and is out there making the world a better place with his earnings and his commitment, exposes by contrast all the falsehood and hypocrisy of all those rich privileged people who make excuses and just throw a few coins to the poor only when there is a photographer

What I admire most about him is that he is not a red carpet philanthropist, but a true humanitarian, and a badass one. He is an idealist and a dreamer but when it comes to action, he is always at the forefront. Kudos to him and kudos to his partner, Anna, too. Not everyone would have the courage to follow their partner into such a risky adventure and 5:11 at such a delicate time! She must be a truly loving and selfless person and the fact that he has earned so much trust and love is just another demonstration of what a man he is. They were meant to be together, I wish them all the best!

He is, of course, an admirable and inspiring person. He can express himself in an incredibly likeable way. Not to mention the fabulous voice, which would have made me look forward to listening fairytales, as a child. I think what everyone can take away here is perhaps the joy of such great personalities, but also what Michael addresses in the interview. That everyone can be their own version of an inspirational person. Maybe not everyone has such a voice :) but the world can be enchanted in so many ways. Cheers to the positive. This man is beautiful in so many ways.❤ The masterful acting, the emotional maturity, the sometimes feral humour, the obvious intelligence and the kindness- I could certainly go on for a long time. On a more shallow note he is REALLY gorgeous, and that voice is like dark honey and does things to me. But most of all this man is a true inspiration, and I really see how he is inspiring others to do what they can to make this world better. @@kateking3953 This exactly. At the time when he was with Rachel McAdams and Sarah Silverman, some people wondered what they (and other attractive women) saw in him. It's this. He may not be conventionally hot, but he is so attractive inside and out - the kindness, the humor, the intelligence, the determination, the down-to-earth attitude, the honesty and fearlessness in putting himself out there, warts and all, not to speak about his handsomeness and that voice. I rather wonder why people wouldn't be attracted to him. What a man indeed!

What an amazing story. The part about putting all that money into a charity event really brought tears to my eyes. I agree with the perspective that you are as old as you feel and should never assume that you can't do things. However, getting to the age of 50 is very different for men and women. Men can have children after 50 and it is more normalised for them to date people well below their own age. Women will have hit (pre)menopause by then and can't start a new biological family. So big difference between the sexes. However, this is definitely a wake up call for anyone who considers themselves old: try new things and see where it leads!

Millions disappear quickly when there are so many people in need. He's helping homeless and poor people in his hometown, giving back to the community that raised him. That's why he's "not for profit." They need him now more than ever now that Tata Steelworks is closing, the main source of income for a lot of families in Port Talbot.
