Love her, for years. Saw many of her movies. Mostly musicals. Favorite! "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". Every time it comes on my channel. She just passed away a couple of days ago. Going to miss her.

Thankyou indeed Henry, for posting this. I`m 65, so of course Jane was an inherent part of my 50`s childhood movie going (and later as I caught up with her earlier films, on television), along with her records. Great that many of her recordings are now available on cd, and what a joy to see her perform here. Bless you Jane, and thanks for all the wonderful music over so many years!

I met Janie in 1951. she was very beautiful, charming and what a voice...I was at the Hollwood Bowl this past Sept.10th. She is still beautiful, charming and still has a great voice. She is 81...I still love you Janie !!!

She LOOKS magnificent. In her prime she could do anything. I always loved her movies when they -- and I -- were still new. I'm a big fan of opera and lieder singing these days, but Jane Powell had such a PRETTY voice, and she was wonderful at singing coloratura arias with youthful radiance. Her most memorable -- and lovable -- bit for me was the comedy song and dance routine with Fred Astaire How could You believe Me When I Said I loved You, When You Know I've Been a Liar All My Life. Brilliant!

I just watched A Date with Judy on TCM and it sparked my intererst in seeing what Jane Powell was doing these days. I thank you for this video. Her voice is still remarkable although a little lower than when she was young.

Well..dear Jane it happens to all us singers...l know my voice at 77 cant hit those high notes.anymore ....they lowered .the key.....so it would be more comfortable..for her....Sing in the Heavens....dear Jane Powell

this morning is a bright sunny late november day and I woke up late but with Jane Powell's song in my head 'it's a most unusual day'. I saw the movies when I was young, she is only 14 years older than I am. I would like to say how much I appreciate her talent but there is no address to contact her.

Voice ain't so soprano anymore , but that's what happens . Your singing voice is young and high at first , then it starts to lower a bit as you get older . I still enjoy Jane . I enjoy listening to the high soprano and tenor singers anyways . I get goosebumps , and my hair starts to rise and frizz up a bit , every time I listen to them . She'll be 90 next in April . Actually she and Debbie Reynolds were both born on the same day in April . Just 3 years apart from each other . Jane Powell was April 1929 , and Debbie Reynolds was April 1932 .
