I saw this show! After the show we caught the Association outside on Ivar St. I got their autograph for my shy Sisters. I remember Jimmy Durante kinda fell getting up from a chair. My Sis used get get tickets to be in the audience of HP and other talk shows. Fun times.

This was the first show in its Tuesday night time slot. ABC moved the Dale Robertson Western IRON HORSE where PALACE was on Saturday. I don't know if that was because CBS' decision to cancel GUNSMOKE left ABC thinking there would be people still wanting a Western--or when the Eye reversed itself and relocated Marshall Dillon et al to Mondays...in the same slot IRON HORSE was the previous season. It, however, met the bullet GUNSMOKE dodged. Clobbered by NBC SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES, it was cancelled by the following January and PALACE returned home.

You can hardly see Joey Heatherton's face with that hair style. Shortly after this aired she cut her hair to Diahann Carroll's length; it became her trademark look for the rest of her career.

Great show! Whatever happened to Joey Heatherton? She was on TV a lot when I was child than she up and disappeared! The "Girl Talk" was cute. Love the Association have the greatest hits CD. Ravi Shakar - I dig! Yeah...I only miss him when I think about him as well and it is all the time! Lol!!! ◼️🥇🏅😉

1. Joey was the type of performer you never see anymore. The variety show slowly vanished. Shows like The Love Boat and Fantasy Island disappeared. She likely performed in Vegas for as long as she could. Probably did some dinner theatre as well. Lola Falana was someone comparable to Joey. 2. She got old. She posed for Playboy in the '90s to try and capture some interest, but her time had passed.

Classic entertainment and entertainers we will never see in today's world. Thank God for KZbin . But one thing I must remark on in watching hundreds of the old shows. Milton Berle had too much of free hands, always slapping and pushing in most videos he is in. Something you should have not done with the Great Durante at his age.
