I stumbled into here searching out howiewierd squares... this was only ok because of the presence of Stern... However, I am starting to see things differently nowadays... hindsight... this was the hay day and start of the total saturation of social engineering... and Stern was, and possibly still is one of the greatest social engineers who ever lived... dropping the bar and then censoring thier own filth... 🤯

Bill Gatchel yes she was. My Dad had a big crush her in the 70s. I think she left KYW with some controversy in the early 90s.

Shadoe great announcer but was too stiff as a host. The jokes yeah a lot of them are pretty weak. But I watched this version of HS as a kid and still enjoyed it. There weren't a lot of opportunities to see celebs as themselves back then. It had its moments. Much better when John Davidson hosted.

9/28/1988 original airdate for this episode. The movie SOrry Wrong NUmber debuted on USA 10/11/89. This USA airing appears to be from 9/27/89. Davidson Squares debuted on USA on 9/11/89 starting with the third season premiere from 9/12/88.
