Quite an interesting snapshot in time for both Howard Stern and Shadoe Stevens. Stern had just crossed the 2-year mark for The Howard Stern Show, and while it had already brought him a level of fame to this point, he hadn't yet reached full critical mass, as it were. As for Shadoe, this is 9/29/88, so he was in his second month at the helm of American Top 40.

I remember that Ross Shaffer was the host of match game 1990 edie McClure had a few appearances on super password Dr. Joyce brothers had a few appearances on match game 1973 and Howard Stern used to be a judge on America's got talent alongside Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel

And that is a microcosm of the problems with this version. Simple questions took 60-90 seconds to answer and they weren't funny or humorous.

After watching several of the original shows with Peter Marshall, all I can say is what a travesty this show is. In trying to make the show "relevant" to a new generation, the producers have made it ludicrous.
