20:46 I disagree. 12 Midnight should be AM. The "M" in both AM and PM is for "Meridian," which is when the sun is directly overhead. That celestial event exists for just a moment. AM is "Ante" Meridian, or "Before" that moment, and at midnight, you are precisely 12 hours before that moment. At noon-plus-one-instant, the sun is past its meridian, so the time is Post (After) Meridian. So the only time that doesn't have an AM or PM designation is the instant the sun is at meridian, but an instant later, it's Post Meridian. But the wise move would be to use the 24-hour clock, as is done in Europe and the U.S. military. Then noon becomes 1200, and midnight is 0000, or (rarely) 2400, and AM/PM is not used at all.

Am is midnight. Military time has 12pm as 1200 hours and midnight as 000 hours.
