I remember back when I was a kid growing up during the 70's. When I was too "sick" for school....wink😉wink😉. I used to love watching these classic game shows. The 🃏Jokers🃏Wild🃏, the $25,000 Pyramid, The Price is Right, etc. They used to be a blast. This one was also one of the shows I loved, but if I remember correctly it came on later in the evening.

Very interesting that for the second game, they just let Melvina have the 5th square for the win right there. I've seen a handful of Davidson episodes where someone did back into a 5-Square Win like that, but the surprising thing off this one is that they let it happen while also, technically, having it satisfy a tic-tac-toe for her right across the center. (Normally, *that* winning square still has to be earned - Match Game/Hollywood Squares notwithstanding - so evidently, the 5-Square Win scenario [combined with that being the only square left anyway] superseded that, in this instance.)

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think John goofed.
@bainsey89Ай бұрын
That surprised me, too. You always had to earn the tic-tac-toe, except for MGHS. Maybe they did that for time. Bergeron's version was the best, where you could never back into a win. That made for game show gold, like Gilbert's "You Fool!" episode.

I think they just gave up due to stupidity

This must be an early Squares with John Davidson around 86-87.

@videox222ifyАй бұрын
a lot of people used to make that mistake with her name when she first started out
@bainsey89Ай бұрын
I'm thinking Rosanna Arquette being a leading lady in movies at the time, plus Toto's hit song about her, which was only a few years old. That name may have gotten stuck in their heads.

If you don’t remember her, you must have been living under a rock. She is an award-winning actress. She has been in countless tv shows and movies and was very famous.

@DISCOVEGASGUY Brenda looked good here, she gained a lot of weight later on, and was even on The Golden girls for one show.
