it's also far better than any of the other depressive songs out there to listen to, the instrumentals straight up put you in a better mood no matter the lyrics. i've also found that the ending really helps me getting out of it, one of the greatest advices I've ever taken was to think of the kid version of myself to remind me how i used to be and the things I used to want in life. also I can't stand to think that kids face if he knew how bad things would get, so it gives inspiration to do good things for yourself.
@sabastianleisek3963 ай бұрын
The surge of happiness comes from feeling control and freedom. Often times, that's the first choice they've made for themselves in a long time. It's a sad sight

Ah so that's what that was. That surge is probably what stopped me from killing myself. It was the first time in years I felt like I didn't want to die. Must be your body's last attempt to save itself. I guess I should say, in case people read that and worry. That was years ago and I've been able to overcome those feelings. So I'm good.

Not enough people are talking about the child’s verse at the end. It’s where this song really gets me. I think the last verse can be a flashback of the suicidal person’s past, when they were a kid. When life was easy, fun and enjoyable. It shows how life can mess up someone so bad that a once, innocent, hopeful, cheerful kid can become suicidal. The kid wants to fly, and the suicidal person wants to jump off the building. This might be because they want to “fly” away from their problems and/or it might be because how difficult life has gotten overtime.

To everyone who wants to know how long the paper is: A standard college ruled notebook page is about 10 and 3/4 inches. That is approx. 33 lines, but counting the lines on this paper in the extra verse, I got approx. 45 lines, if we take into account the going back to the beginning for the chorus and extra lines. Add another line at the bottom, and the paper is about 13 and 3/4 inches.

I love how hollywood undead writes about death, suicide, abuse of drugs and alcohol and If you don't really listen to the lyrics you think it's a really happy song. It's like it is in reallife, you only understand people when you listen to them and know what their words mean. Next time you see someone, put your hand up and block their face from your vision... Leaving just the eyes visible. You can fake a smile with your face, but you can't fake a smile with your eyes... So if you learn what sad eyes look like, you can tell if anyone's sad EDIT: After a bit of digging, I've found that this isn't the case, and it is possible to fake a smile with your eyes... but not everyone can do it. That means that there is still a chance that you could see through the smile of people who aren't going the extra mile to smile with their eyes.
@skunko18714 жыл бұрын
@Sam Siebenhor I have actually been forced to be happy as a child by my mother xF But my reasoning was some fact I heard a while ago about how genuine smiles contract involuntary muscles around the eyes, thus you could tell the difference between a genuine one and a fake... but after a bit of google searching for a source to share with you, I found that it's actually been disproven. People can fake smiles with their eyes. Here's my sauce: digest.bps.org.uk/2012/11/12/most-people-can-fake-a-genuine-duchenne-smile/#:~:text=The%20eye%20crinkling%20of%20a,muscles%2C%20which%20raises%20the%20cheeks.

They actually just go back to the chorus. The paper probs isn't longer than an intermediate pad. Then again, I don't think a fucking notebook should be that long.

I find it interesting on how they found a young kid to sing that last part and now I'm just sitting here wondering " does that kid even know that tf they just said? Did they get the song? Did they hear the song?" Can you imagine the kid all grown up, listening to this song and hearing themselves and understanding what they said at that point Am I going too deep in this? I'm tired
