I can't commend Lacey enough for her ability to sense when a participant has been left out of the conversation too long and warmly rekindles their participation. What a gifted moderator. Lacey if you do get to read this, watching you steer these roundtables is an absolute delight. Thank you.

I hope the convenience and $savings of zoom will not be so appealing that this format will replace the physical round table. I've watched every RT made, some over and over. The energy generated, the interaction between guests gives the viewer a very different experience. The real round table, being in the room, almost as though you too were sitting there...matters. A lot. Please bring us altogether around that table again, soon.

Lena is literally texting while other people are speaking. She also sounds disingenuous when talking about diversity. She had a chance at Girls and we all remember what she did with that - a show based in NYC where the only black people in season 1 were a taxi driver and a homeless person.

@nolovelost40203 жыл бұрын
@Fahd Khwaja I can only speak for myself, but my issue with her is that she's constantly playing the victim while sitting comfortably in her solid position of power and privilege. I am not saying that she has not struggled at some point or had horrible experiences in Hollywood but, I remember her previous roundtable talk a couple years ago. She was doing a lot of talking about issues that literally did not/do not affect her, when really she should have been listening more to the other actresses. When you listen, you learn! She made that interview about her and everything she said and did felt performative, which was a distraction to stop the finger being pointed at her! She claims to support several causes and be an ally to marginalized groups, but none of it is ever reflected in her work!
@jasonedmunds3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Also in the #metoo campaign she kept saying how important it was to always believe women, then her male colleague was accused, and she made a statement basically saying the girl was making it up cause he could never do that... She’s completely inconsistent and does not follow through with what she says.
@clarabelle64723 жыл бұрын
I am willing to give everyone a second chance. Lena is very much a product of her upbringing - wealthy, white, bohemian artsy parents who overindulged her and probably has her in therapy at 5. I thought Girls was okay and really enjoyed Industry.
