I feel this conversation is an example of how females often downplay or are asked to downplay their accomplishments. My god, Moss has already directed a total of 7 episodes in two well-known shows /established TV platforms and has 10 credits of being executive producer or producer on IMDb. Add to that her directorial debut was last season, not this season -- which Kimmel didn't seem too aware of -- so for the main story to be for her as a "first time director" feels a little dumbing-down of her accomplishments. In any case, very proud of Moss' body of work, have loved her since her Mad Men days.

While it was fair for the handmaids to chase Fred and take his life since he had terrorized so many women and had so many people killed, it grieved me that they beat him to death when they could have just executed him with a single gunshot. Not because it didn't fit with Gilead's crowd sourced "justice" / punishment the handmaids were taught to do, or that Fred didn't deserve it, but because the women ended up becoming the kind of murderous abusers that they had been victimized by, which is a perpetuation of all that is awful about Gilead, not a repudiation of it, and the women are losing the best parts of their humanity the more they let themselves jump into a blood lust. Also, it was Serena's right to decide if she wanted a finger trophy from Fred, since he had hers cut off; it was going a bit too far for June to do that, especially since she did it to hurt Serena, not as a consolation for the loss of her finger. And Canada is going to lose a lot of empathy for the handmaids because of this execution by torture.
